Should the NBA allow players to use steroids?

Post#1 » by MaryvalesFinest » Fri Aug 15, 2008 4:52 am

Do you think the NBA should allow players to use steroids if they wanted? Also tell us why you said yes or no.

I say yes because it should be the players choice...

of course it should be allowed, but that doesn't mean they should remain NBA players

Are you stupid? No. Steroids are no joke and if they're somehow allowed to take them you'll see a lot of guys taking them to make the roster, make the rotation, get into the starting 5 etc. etc. Then the other guys who are similarly talented but refuse to take it will get pushed out and then forced to take it themselves in order to get a guaranteed contract. Nothing good can come out of it.

No. The reason they aren't allowed has nothing to do with the effects it has on you as an athlete. It's not allowed because it is harmful to players, and they're not gonna force their players to hurt themselves. Also, it's ILLEGAL. That would be like the NBA saying they'll allow players to purchase and consume heroin during the season.

This is the most ridiculous question I have ever seen posted.

I don't mean to be rude, but I feel its my duty to this time... If you had a brain cell in your head it would die of lonliness.

Steroids are illegal. Steroids are a health hazard. Steroids give players a competitive advantage. Just because someone "could make a choice" to do something doesn't make it right. I could chose to punch my opponent in the head everytime he touches the ball. It doesn't mean the NBA or anyone else for that matter should allow it.

Roids destroy your manhood and your liver. It is highly cancer inducing. No sport is worth destroying yourself.

I agree with people saying this is a stupid thread. Your reasoning that the NBA should allow players to use steroids because it should be their choice is like me saying the NBA should allow players to murder people because it's the players choice to do so. :wavefinger:
