2002 Western Conference LAL-SAC question

Post#1 » by MitchSlapped » Thu Aug 14, 2008 4:41 am

Is it true that after Robert Horry hit the game winning shot in Game 4, people in Sacramento started rioting and burning cars and such?

I don't believe that happened.
Go team! (The one I want to win, preferably)

Don't know about over there but it happened here in Maryvale when the Suns lost in the 1st round.

Heh, the "Cow Town" reference. The good ol' days.

But yeah, I don't remember riots in Sacramento, well at least not at the place where I lived. But I knew there were ALOT of Kings fans pissed though.

Nothing good ever comes out of a thread discussing that series in any way, shape, or form.

I hope they did..the good people of Sacramento were literally robbed of a title by David Stern, Buss, every ref that officiated that series..it's just sad that the media hasn't ran with this story and it's sad that there hasn't been an investigation..at least the real NBA fans know that the 2002 NBA champions were the Sacramento Kings..

David Stern has used his usual "of course not" explanation behind his smile through the last year, and it just isn't happening. He needs to resign.

No, I don't believe so.

And for the record, I have lived in Sacramento all my life and I don't recall ever seeing a cow here (well, other than on my plate).

Just like how the Suns lost when the refing is so biased to the Spurs. Let the real fans know the 07 champion is actually the Phoenix Suns.

Now why would the officials be completely biased towards the Spurs. If David Stern told his officials to make favourable calls to one team, why would it be the Spurs? They absolutely kill TV ratings and diminish the value of the regular season. Plain and simple it's not good for the league to see the Spurs win.

that's usually the sort of thing that happens in a place like Detroit or Columbus, not California. ;)
