I heard that Josh Childress was offered somehting like 7 million a year. that was alot but I like what Pargo did with the hornets. I think they definitely improved by adding Posey but maybe they should have broke the bank to keep Pargo. He did very well for them.

He is still gonna burn the Magic with 25 points while still being in Europe.

I dont think its the same team that we are gonna play in the preaseason. But i was jk, Pargo is one of those notorious Magic killers. Doesnt matter who is playing for, its a given he is gonna light up the Magic lol.

oh ok. lol sry I did not pick up on the j/k. He had some crazy stats when we played the hornets last year is that right? It would be funny if we did actually play him though.

Just randomly spot a team 25 points at the start of the game.

Does anyone else sense that this mass-exodus is a sign of things to come?

outside of Chill, it's really a sign of teams not having much money and not wanting to spend too much on role players...

Obviously this is a trend that will continue to happen as long as the Euro is a strong as it is and the NBA continues to have a salary cap.

Its going to dilute this middle of the team roster spots a bit. Its absolutely fantastic for world basketball, not so hot for the NBA right now ... that said there is always diamonds in the rough or over looked players in any game, and more free spots in the NBA just gives these guys a chance to come through, much in the same way 2nd rounders sometimes turn to be superstars, non-draft picked players can often be great role players etc...

As I say, world basketball its great, we are getting more talent and exposure now in Europe. Unlike the US, we dont have massive scouting regiments in basketball, so getting in some talent from America will help beef up the leagues, might attract some more attention and start to widen it up a bit more in the public eye - after all if these teams are paying huge wages they are going to want local support consistently to make some of the money back.

Unfortuantly for me, I doubt I'll ever see the British basketball league ever take off, the cost of living here is so high, and right now the league exposure is next to nothing, its more like a amateur league [in terms of coverage and support, we have had half decent players here every so often]. Unless Roman Abramovich decides that Chelsea dont need ne more money and Lebron James would look good in the London Towers colours :P

It's gonna work both ways: the US will benefit from euro players who'll finally get more PT in america with all middleground names (if not scrubs) gone, while Europe will get some NBA pseudo-stars to boost its attendance. The fears some journos and fans have these days mostly come from the usual uber(and stupid)patriotism some americans have, where anything coming from the outside is wrong, and everyone crossing the US borders is a traitor.

As for the english league, we own y'all in Italy, we sent three first round picks in three years. All three will prolly come back in a couple years but hey, I gotta be optimistic :P

Oh definatly - thats the long of it in the end.

The ultimate aim should be to make it like football [the biggest sport by miles] were each major league has representatives from every nation.

I mean just remember, it was only, what, 12 years ago that in the Champs league teams could only have 3 non-domestic players in the squad on a given game, now there is no limit, since rarely do you see a team with more than 4 or 5 domestic players.
