Quiter Hargrove wants back in Majors

Post#1 » by Ripcity4life » Sat Aug 16, 2008 2:39 am

There is a short story on espn.com how Mike Hargrove has his "Edge" back and wants another manager job. This makes me friggin sick to my stomach. He bails on the team mid season cause he is "burned out" but now a hair over a year later he wants back. Its no wonder why most of the team has mailed it in they had a good role model in Hargrove last season. Now maybe Hargrove saw this coming and bailed before the crap hit the fan and used the desire thing as a excuse. However if i was another GM around baseball i would think real long and hard before giving him a shot at least for now maybe in another year or 2 but now .. NO WAY.

F**k him. Hargrove was a terrible manager when he was with Seattle and I was glad to see him leave. I hated the circumstances (even moreso because the abortive experiment known as John MacLaren had to take place) but Hargrove was bad enough that the Mariners won in spite of him during his tenure (they won in spite of most everything). I'd rather have Wally Backman become M's manager than see Hargrove's face in the dugout yet again for even more failure.

AGREED. He is a great guy who had been deserving his chance for years, but flunked when test time came. And in this class, you shouldn't be allowed to re-take the class.
LaMarcus for Heisman!!!

Roster:Lillard/Mathews/Batum*/LA/Lopez

*Its not pronounced with a !@#$ing s, he's french. It's Nico-la, not Nico-las.

—Peace!
