Since it got bumped, I figured that I better update it as well. I have been relying pretty heavily on the ESPN TM for the salary figures, which seems to be very accurate, but of course they are bound to make mistakes just like everyone else. Also, it only gives the first year salary which is tremendously helpful, but at the same time leaves open the distinct possibility that I will incorrectly structure the remaing salary. So let me know if you guys see anything that is off or if I have missed anybody.

Ha! It worked!
I've been keeping tabs on ESPN TM as well, and double-checking against Sham.

I got a question for you, or anybody else for that matter, Did the Bucks use the BAE to sign Francisco Elson? I say this because they have apparently used their MLE as follows:
Ty Lue - $2,250,000
Malik Allen - $1,300,000
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute - $757,000
Total used - $4,307,000
Balance - $1,278,000
That does not leave enough money to give Elson the reported 2 year $3M deal that he supposedly got. But if they use a portion of the BAE, then it would work.

I just noticed that RealGM indicates that Elson was signed with the BAE, so I guess the only question left then is did he get the full amount or only a portion?

On a similar note, the Trade Checker gives the impression that Flip Murray signed for closer to $1.5M. If true, did that amount come from the BAE or what remained of their MLE?

Re: Official 2008 Free Agency Thread
ESPN Trade Machine has Iguodala making $11,300,000 this year. His contract structure must be really funky.

A structure of:
$11,300,000
$12,113,333
$12,926,667
$13,740,000
$14,553,333
$15,366,667
would bring the total contract to $80,000,000 and allow for a raise of $813,333.33 each year.
However, if there are 'dips' of up and down in the contract......

Larry, that payout violates the raise limit rules from yr 4 to yr 5, so it must be different numbers.

Apparently you're correct, but apparently the typo was made by the league office.

Thanks for the info Larry, I just updated/corrected the orginal post. Since, I am certain that many of the numbers in the original thread are not correct it would be great to get any potential corrections. I know it's too much to ask you to check all the numbers in the original post, but any other thoughts/info would be greatly appreciated. I do know off the top of my head that I could use contract info for Eduardo Najera, Ronny Turiaf, Goran Dragic & Hamed Haddadi (I see ESPN TM now has Haddadi starting $1,572,221 for 3 years). Anyways, thanks for all of your help.
