Well he's going to be 34 and the Suns are most likely going to start rebuilding during 2010. If he wants to stay though the Suns can offer him a vets minimum contract but that's the most the Suns should offer him at that point.

well, i think it depends on if we win a ring or not. if we have won one till this date he, nash, shaq and ghill will retire. if not, we got a lot of veteran that all will be signed for the vet´s min...

Nash is one of the very few players in the league who is still playing at a high level even at his age. I don't see this for Raja. His decline last season will continue this season and the season after. At his age now and taking his rapid decline in consideration, I think only the Suns would give him a contract.

I would like to see him retire a Sun :)

I actually see Raja, Hill and Nash all with us for minor contracts. Say LLE (2.5m/year for 2 yrs) for Nash, and vet mins for Hill and Bell. I think Raja's "decline" is too obvious and out there because of only one reason. He gaurds THE best perimeter player on ANY team for us (since Marion is gone, and usually even when Marion was here). That is a VERY difficult job to do, especially in the new 2-Gaurd / Small-Forward loaded NBA. MOST teams in the NBA has atleast a ONE of a star PG, SG and SF, and Bell takes the job of gaurding them. I love his effort, but it does take a wear / tear on his body. Gaurding guys mnuch bigger than him like Carmello Anthony, Gerald Wallace, Caron Butler, LeBron James and so on is a difficult job if your the only perimeter defender on a team you know. I think the addition of Hill took a LITTLE pressure off him, but what I think help's Bell most is the addition of Barnes. If we are still planning to Run/Gun some, our best lineup will probably be:
Stoudemire/Barnes/Hill/Bell/Nash. Porter is got a lot to figure out..

I think from a personal standpoint and after hearing him talk a few times in interviews about the subject he will probably retire and focus on his family. He actually has had a remarkable career and has made some pretty decent money along the way.

Love Raja and I'd love to see him retire with us. I wish there were more players with the heart that Raja has. This being said, his decline is evident and 2 guards are historically not very durable, he's got another year as a starter, but with less minutes than last year, and then he could be just a defensive specialist off the bench in his last season.

It would be awesome if Barbs actually improved on defense in the off-season. If he did we could start him next to Nash: 1. we've been a winning ball club when he starts, 2. Raja comes off the bench/ stays fresh for playoffs 3. Run and Gun.

Raja does have the biggest heart on our team, he comes out every night and give 100% on defense and offense. With the addition of Barnes it would lighten his load and hopefully give him more minutes on the bench.

That's real interesting, I didn't think about his fams. But he really looks like a good family man, I could see him retire when his contracts over and focus on the family and maybe do a little commentating every now and then. That would be great for his family and for the Suns fan who miss him.

Before we bury Raja lets see him this year. He looked much better the end of last year. The injuries took their toll and I am willing to see what someone like him still has. He is a player that has survived more on his smarts than athleticism so he might not be as far down as everyone thinks.

I think with a new coach, some back ups, and another defender in Barnes, I think he will be more effective for us this year.

I think Nash will stay as a backup after the 2010 year. He will get less money, but I think he still wants to play a few more years. He might leave to go after a championship if our run is done.

i hope he get's his 3-pt touch again. He missed some big shots for us last year. He'll be older but i think he'll be very effective. He loves our city, so I think he stays for a much smaller contract.
