Why would Detroit do this? Wallace is a somewhat different player but not better. Prince is a better shooter, better in some ways on defense and still a young player (28). We'd have to give up more in some sort of combo deal. I know the Pistons might be willing to make some changes but Prince would be among the last players they'd want to part with.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Prince is a better player and not a liability due to concussions?

Not all about stats, because Prince is definitely a better defender and jumpshooter, and would have better productivity with increased oppurtunities. Different situation with the Pistons because of the depth and kind of team they have had.

I would definitely consider this trade and if it happened I'd be good with it.

Wallace also has a better block % and steal % than prince....I do agree that prince is a better shooter.

Prince>Wallace.
Prince is the fourth option in Detroit so his focus was mainly of defense. Wallace is the first/second option for the Bobcats so of course his numbers will look better.

Very good attacking when attacking the basket. He's become a better FT shooter. He's become a much, much better shooter from 3, but he put up a TON of bad ones this past season--I'm not sure if it was because of Vincent (or rather, to spite Vincent) or his contract... or I guess he could've really thought they weren't bad shots, though this seemed pretty obvious to observers. I don't remember him taking many midrange shots at all. He has a respectable handle and is the biggest scoring threat when fearlessly attacking the hoop.

Avalon- Block and steal statistics are indicators of hustle, not defensive effort/skill.

As a Piston fan, I seriously consider this trade. How serious is Wallace's concussion history?

Crash took 3 more shots a game than Prince.

Prince took the 2nd most shots for the Pistons. He also played the 2nd most mpg.

For the record.

Crash has had a couple of concussions but mostly it's been banged up body parts from his hard play, or injuries suffered as a result of trying to play the 4. He can do that in stretches but is much preferred at the 3.

Perhaps this is a trade that would benefit both teams based on each group's player mix. I would be for it as I think Prince and J-Rich would compliment each other's game. With a powerful PF to go with Okafor, this group would be a contenda!

Somewhat what I was thinking. Not that "Which player is better"" but rather more along the lines of "Does Prince fit better for Charlotte and Wallace fit better for Detroit?" Personally, I think Wallace is a better fit in Detroit but I don't know enough about your situation to say if Prince would be better for you guys.

both these players are a wash...trading wallace for prince does not make us a better team...we may be better on defense but we are worse on offense...i would pass..but if you can get amir and prince for wallace and someone else from us then i would do it

Yeah cuz Amir will add that extra bit of offense. :noway:

Not gonna happen. Joe D has put 'sacred cow' status on Stuckey but Amir is just behind him in that department.

asking for amir has nothing to do with offense we lack depth at PF.....yea i know its not going to have happen...i would just rather fill a hole if we are going to trade wallace
