why is it that dwight gets pulled off everytime ANYTHING goes wrong on the floor?... if melo misses a shot, dwight's off... if lebron shoots a jumper, dwight's off... etc.

You can literally throw it up there anywhere and Dwight will go get it against these teams, and he's like a lot of other big men who have other parts of their game feed off getting involved offensively. He looks frustrated most of the game because of a combination of foul problems and not being involved... and when he does get thrown a bone sometimes it seems to catch him off gaurd a bit. There really isnt anyone in this olympics who can stop Dwight except himself, or maybe Yao..... feed the beast!

Dwight played a lot better today. He could've had more touches. But that's what was expected.

Dwight was better today than against Greece but he still needs to keep working to improve.

On a positive note, this US team really is the real deal. At first I was hesitant b/c I remember what has happened ever since the 2000 Olympics but I am sold on them. They played the second best team in the tournament today and beat them by 37 points. That is how the real Dream Team used to take care of opponents and I finally have confidence to say the US will win the Gold, no doubt. The "Redeem Team" has been very impressive and it is great to see USA Basketball playing like this again.

Here are my impressions watch this team:

Lebron is freakin good. I don't think he even realizes how good he is.

Dwyane Wade can actually play rather than just run into people and shoot free throws. Who knew?

Deron Williams just rubs me the wrong way. Something about him, I don't know.

Dwight really responds when he can makea solid play, be it a block or dunk. He really needs to work out how to get through a funk.

And finally:

What does Chic-Fil-A think of McDonald's "new" Southern Chicken Sandwich?

Lol...compared to Chick-Fil-A the McDonalds chicken sandwich sucks IMO. Its dry and tasteless and the bun sticks to the roof of your mouth.

As for the other points...I would agree with everything except the Deron Williams part. I like the guy.

Southern Chicken Sandwich does not even compare to Chic-Fil-A. It's not even close to being a legit chicken sandwich.

The battle was over before it even begun.

*The McDonalds chicken biscuit breakfast is a blatant ripoff though. They even taste similar.

Wade, Bosh and Bron are the main reason this US team is destroying everyone IMO. Plus having "good Melo" and all the other guys doesn't hurt either. As for Dwight, he played a lot better today but he needs to get involved and teammates still don't respect him enough.

also, lol @ the spanish players who where arguing calls all the time when they kept on flopping and hacking like it's their job.

Bosh has had ONE breakout game, the rest of the games Dwight has outscored him. I'm not saying Bosh isn't outplaying Dwight but people are overrating one GREAT game of offense/defense. Dwight is still a better defender but doesn't have the touch around the basket. I definitely think it's the Bron/Wade show... they've tore it up every game.

There is only ONE way the rest of Team Lebron Wade Anthony (Team USA) is going to respect Dwight. When Orlando gets to the finals and wins the title then maybe he will get the respect he deserves. Until that happens I think they will recognize him as the good Center but not respect his game until that happens.

I completely agree. His defense has been solid, however, he hasn't been heads-and-shoulders above Dwight by any stretch of the imagination.

Bosh decision making has been much better. Dwight outscoring him not really that important since either of them are going into games needing a lot of scoring. What we need is defense and rebounding. Most importantly we need both of them to make good decisions on both ends of the floor. Unfortunately for me to say but if we do play a close game in the 4th quarter right now I'm going Bosh over Howard if I'm coach K. Bosh is usually in the right spots on defense and has been making the correct decision against zone defense on offense.

The game yesterday I thought Dwight was much better. Still he not playing close to what he is capable of playing. I won't say Dwight has a low bball IQ but I do think he needs to focus more on the mental aspect of the game. Those goaltendings, and some of the mistakes in pick-n-roll are getting old. Dwight can not jump his way to an NBA championship. He really needs to be a little like Tim Duncan and focus on the fundamentals.

Some notes on that game

Coach K obviously wanted to get Dwight started early. He blew some easy opportunities on offense but at least he was more active on both ends of the floor.

Spain is the second best team in this tournament but Argentina is the team that matches up best with USA. Spain does not play defense and once USA killed that zone they had no way of stopping us from scoring. Argentina has much better defenders on there squad.

Wade is not only back but he and Lebron look like the early favorites for next year MVP. If Wade plays this well during the year Miami can win 50 games with Marion, Jones, Haslem, and Beasley playing well.

Hopefully Anthony is about to get going because if he plays well with Wade then we will run away with this tournament. I'm not worried about Spain though and if we play them I think we win going away. Spain does not match up well with USA. Greece and Argentina are the only ones perhaps capable of beating us.

Thank you coach K for playing Tashaun Prince more. Joe Dumars should never trade him. He almost always makes the right decision. I rather see Tashaun than Melo for most of these games right now.

Dwight is finding his groove. Looked much better this game. As a whole his low post game needs work, but thats nothing new. I dont guess we are going to see the leaps from Dwight like we did when he first came into the league. I do think we will see more out of him this year. Be patient with the big guy. He took probably the longest off of basketball and weights this summer with his chest. He will be in great shape by the time the Season starts.
out of difficulty comes opportunity.

I think it's hard to focus on the fundamentals when your natural gifts give you such a big advantage. Plus, he's not getting half the number of touches he's used to for the Magic, and that brings down his confidence. He's a "volume dunker" if you will.
