TI: Cavs/Suns

Post#1 » by Da_James_Gang » Sun Aug 17, 2008 1:23 am

I was thinking that bell could be a good fit in the back court with mo williams and you guys need another pg. So i came up with this.....

Cavs get:
Raja Bell
Alando Tucker

Suns get:
Delonte West(4-5m s&t)
Sasha Pavlovic

DWest's contract would be byc so it would be worth like half of that. So i think that trade would work but not totally sure.

I think west/pavs would both be a good fit for the suns....... Pavs can play the 2 and 3 with his size and west plays the 1 and 2.

He's more of a combo guard like Barbosa and Strawberry so this trade wouldn't really make sense for the Suns because they would end up with Barbosa-Strawberry and West.

raja might be getting old but hes so imprtant. without him we would only have nash LB and barnes with a real 3 pt threat. and raja is also a great pull up 3 pt shooter in transition which is important for us

Yeah, he is getting old, but is still one of our best defenders. Hes also one of our best spot up 3pt shooters. I say pass on this deal. We need to keep Bell and when nash, bell and shaq's money is off the books, we have a lot of money to spend, which we like.

We will live and die with this team.

West could thrive in our system, but we just have one too many combo guards already. Plus if we do this trade we won't have minutes to give to DJ for him to develop.

Financially, we want to have as much cap space as possible in 2010, adding West would probably mean his contract will go into our cap space for 2010.

I would of done a Raja Bell and Alondo Tucker for DWest and Joe Smith but since you traded Joe Smith to Oklohoma, I'll pass on this deal. I personally like that we got a couple of players who are tought minded. Raja Bell, Matt Barnes and Shaq are players who can get under peoples skins and I don't know if anybody else notice but last year vs the Spurs in he playoffs, Barbosa becomse a little tougher as well. I know that he wasen't hitting on all cylinders like we would of like to but he took a couple of shots at Manu and that in it self made me more of a Barbosa fan. :D

I truly believe that Barbosa is going to have another carrer year under Porter. I don't mean offensively but rather defensively. I know that he is not going to be mistaken for shut down player but he is going to much better. I can't wait till this season begins..... GO SUNS!!
