down 3-0 already.. it is odd, I saw some royals games this year.. and those guys struggle to score runs, but vs us, the score runs at will it seems...

Not getting my hopes up... the Yankees are known to dissapoint.

Somehow, I think the effect of not making the playoffs will give this franchise a clue that this core needs alot of changes and improvements before it ever wins a championship. What does another one and done playoff appearance do really? It gives us the false appearance that there is nothing wrong with our club, IMO.

I do hope Mussina wins 20 games, so those are the games I am really rooting for the Yankees to win.

oh, I agree, this core needs to be broken up, and if it takes missing the playoffs to realize that, then at some level it may be worth it..a although I hate missing a postseason, I have gotten spoield you know.. LOL.. we have gotten spoiled..

You are right. We have gotten spoiled. Booing Arod is one example of that. And the past 12+ years have been one of the greatest runs any sports team has any put together. But all good things come to an end, and you can't keep adding elements to a faulty foundation and expect the foundation to be the same way it was 10 years ago...

^^ excellent point cmaf.. this is why I hate arguing with boston fans. they win two WS in 4 years with a missed playoff in between and they think they are world beater. We won 4 in 5 years and three in a row, plus 6 WS appearances in the past 12 years.. you are right, that is one of the greatest runs in sports.. It came to an end a few years ago, but you are right. the foundation is faulty and has been for the past few years. We started with the arms, the young arms, now time to impliment some position prospects..
