The back end of the East is pretty underrated, I think Charlotte, Milwaukee and Indiana can all sneak into the lower playoff seeds and they all might be better than ATL as well. People may disagree with Charlotte, but they've always been a good talented team on paper, and with a coach like Larry Brown, who knows what they're capable of.

Bobcats didn't have success, so we can't talk about underrated, but they have one of the best 10 teams in the East right now, for me G. Wallace is an all-star, and then they have 2 good players in Okafor and J-Rich, the others are maybe too young.
But yeah, they have a chance to make the playoffs next year and people thinks it's impossible, so maybe thats under rate that team.

The Raptors:

The best 3pt shooting team in the NBA. No one gives them credit. Their Games with a 3pter streak is at 800+ right now.

They also have an underrated player as Anthony Parker, Calderon. They were in the TOP 10 in the 3PT% the whole year.

LOL @ Dallas and Phoenix

I'm going to have to go with the Wizards. I remember at one point they were firing in all cylinders and running the best offense in the East not to mention the best team until injuries came and took it all away. Then they run into the team that has their number. If this team can stay healthy and avoid Cleveland, then I think they can make a run for their money come playoff time especially in the Least where anything is possible.

You guys really think the Cavaliers are underrated? I don't really see it.

I'm not saying that the Cavs suck or anything, I respect them and all that but really? Maybe the Cavaliers are great in the East, but in the West there would be a lot of teams that would give them a run for their money. Heck, even the Golden State Warriors had a better record than the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Warriors weren't even in the playoffs. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people would predict the Cavs to be a 50 win team next season and go far in the playoffs against those Eastern Conference teams, I don't think a majority of us are underrating them.

I don't think that makes a team underated.

I'm going to go with the Bucks and Wizards for the east. Wizards will be healthy and the Bucks significantly improved from last year.

Cavs are built for the playoffs..saying the Warriors would beat them in the playoffs is exactly why theyre underrated...i think the Cavs can beat WC teams like the Suns or Mavs...i think a series vs. the Jazz or Hornets would be interesting. Seeing how people are putting Cavs as lows as 6th in the East ..i can see another year of people picking teams like the Wizards or Raptors over them...again for some reason.

I think Miami will surprise some people and get a 5th or 6th seed...we got the Wade-Marion-Beasley trio as everyone knows... but our bench looks pretty good too, with Udonis Haslem, Alonzo Mourning, James Jones, and Mario Chalmers.

I don't think anyone said that the Warriors would have beaten the Cavaliers in the playoffs. If you were referring to my post, what I meant was that if the Cavaliers were in the Western Conference they wouldn't have even been in the playoffs and would have been the 10th seed. I said that because i've seen people mentioning Cleveland doing good in the playoffs or whatever, but that's the Eastern Conference. IMO an ECF was just as difficult as the 1st Round in the Western Conference; although it's different now since the East got better with JO and Brand going to that conference.

I mean if people think like that they might as well say that the Warriors were underrated; if GSW played in the Eastern Conference they would have been the 4th seed and would have had home court advantage. I'm pretty sure that team could have knocked out squads like Toronto, Washington, Orlando, Philadelphia, Atlanta and even Detroit out of the playoffs. But even if they did make it to the 2nd or 3rd round against those teams would it really be much of an accomplishment? Most of the competition is barely .500; the only real test is Detroit and Boston.

As of now, i'm pretty sure a lot of people are giving LeBron James a lot of positive feeds, they know that he's going to make the Cavs a great team that will go far in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. IMO Cleveland is a 50+ win team that will go far in the postseason, i'm not underrating them at all.

Celtics underated? The champs are underated?? lol.

Memphis underated? They have a ton of young talent but they have a longgggg way to go till they become a legit team ie playoff contenders. How can they be underated at this point? People arent expecting much from them this year and thats about right, too young and inexperienced.
