Shawn Kemp inked by Premiata Montegranaro

The Reigman Shawn Kemp has taken his game to Europe.

According to an announcement on the official Lega Serie A website, Kemp signed a contract in Seattle last night that will see the former SuperSonic play 2008/09 with Premiata Montegranaro in Italy.

The signing has excited coach Alessandro Finelli, who says Kemp has been training hard to meet the team's requirements and is highly motivated to make the partnership a success.

Greek media sniffed this out over a month ago and I was just waiting for this pan out, we can finally see some highlights of Kemp to see what he has left.

I was actually just watching an old game on NBA TV a few weeks ago that was the 1996 NBA finals w/ Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton against the Bulls. Shawn kemp went off for like 21 pts and 16 rbds.

I could see why people liked him back then.

He is gonna impregnate 5 Italian ladies the first night he is there. Kemp is on a world gene expansion.

Kemp's in good shape. He'll do well. He's 38.

Yep, I'm pulling for him to do well.

Not sure what was so hilarious about the signing. He's apparently been working hard the past year or two to get in shape and take one last crack at it.

I think a lot of people think he's much older because of the level of decline he had in his later years with the league.

Without looking up his age, I probably assumed he was like 39 or 40 back when he was on the Magic, when really he was only about 33 or 34. Judging by that pic posted, looks like he REALLY worked hard to get back in shape. I'm happy for him.

I can't believe Otis let another great big man sign somewhere else! This offseason is officially a bust. I hope David Stern does something about all our superstars going to Europe.

What is Otis thinking by not signing a beast in Shawn Kemp? Haha lol. I thought this guy played like a 45 year old back when he played with the Magic. He might have got in better shape but I doubt the man can play.
