I had a Horrible Nightmare Involving Tinsley

Post#1 » by APerna » Mon Aug 18, 2008 1:31 pm

Ok, so I'll admit that I have a rather vivid imagination, and I typically remember a good number of my dreams. I suppose it's why I'm tired a good part of the time, because my mind never truly gets much rest.

I had a dream last night that we traded Jamaal to Chicago in exchange for Mike Sweetney. I suppose it's actually more like a nightmare.

In reality, such a deal is very unlikely. First of all, Chicago doesn't need a point guard in the least, and their salaries far from matchup, but do you think this could be a harbinger of bad things?

I tweaked your title because it implied that something horrible had actually happened. Didn't want to cause an unnecessary brouhaha.

Second, Sweetney was out of the league last year, and isn't even under contract anywhere.

Third, I think the word you're looking for is "harbinger".

Hey, if Sweetney had a contract similar to Tinsley's, then I'd be fine with that deal. (Though I'd still be mildly concerned that he might eat Danny or TJ.)
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

Even if Sweetney had been on the Bulls, I hardly think we would have taken Jamaal. We have a major logjam in the back-court, and unless I'm mistaken; Tinsley isn't the best attitude to have around, no?

I agree 100%, just musing on my dream.

It's a slow time of year...looking to inspire some discussion, no matter how trivial it may be.

I had a nightmare as well (not as bad as yours) that we kept Tinsley on the team and showed up to camp in "top" physical shape.

Two things:

You may want to check to see that your BBcode is enabled.

Sweetney could never get in that good of shape.

Count hinted that he would be, but would anyone else be happy with someone like Sweetney in exchange for getting rid of Tinsley.

I would be, as long as his contract is shorter...

No problem.

I recently had a dream about Pau Gasol selling potatoe chips at the local gas station..

I had a horrible dream involving Jamaal Tinsley. Apparently management were sick of his character so they decided to give him a new role within the Pacers. They figured a change of scenery might do him good so they decided to turn him into a PACEMATE!!!!!!

........apparently the only hard part was finding a uniform in his size

If we cant trade Tinsley, lets just get John Amaechi to travel everywhere with him and be his roommate. I cant imagine where a hip gun-toting guy like Tinsley would enjoy that scenario too much. He would readily accept a buyout at bargain basement prices.

I can't imagine he would mind that too much. What's he care who his roommate is if he's out at 3AM smoking marijuana and getting in bar fights?
