Who has the best work ethic?

Post#1 » by Derekman » Mon Aug 18, 2008 5:58 pm

IMO, it has to be Gilbert, the guy sleeps in the gym.

HM goes to Bynum, from the reports that are coming out, he's going ten hours strong per day. His all-star aspirations are about to become a reality.

Kobe is certified OCD, just like Arenas. Dirk is also a very good gym rat, and Ben Wallace at least used to pump iron continously.

Apparently Matt Harpring's work out training is some of the toughest in the league.

Kobe and Ben Gordon are said to be some of the biggest workers...on the come up, Dwight Howard, he's one of those guys that gets the gym keys and lets himself in at 4:30am to shoot FT's for a few hours and hit the weights...

Imagine his percentage if he didn't try so hard!

Ron Artest is definitely right up there (following him closely since 04)... occasionally he's actually done too much.

Kobe, Duncan, Wade, Kevin Martin, Deng also come to mind

Thank you. Every topic similar to this also begins with, and end with the posters favorite player. Kind of pointless really.

To stay on topic though, I have to say Kobe.

He's my favorite player on my favorite team. :(

Has to be Gilbert Arenas. He took him self from a bench warmer 2nd round pick into a star. Arenas started doing Kobe's work out routine then he doubled it :o

No player works as hard as him. He often sleeps at the Verizon Center in DC just to play basketball all night and morning.

That doesn't mean he's working hardest, just (potentially) longest. It's like the guy who says he spends five hours in the gym working out a day. If he's working really hard, his muscles will be too sore to go for five hours.

I think it's darn-near impossible to determine who has the best work ethic. Most of that goes on behind closed doors. I've heard Kobe is legendary with his workouts, and I'd believe Harpring would be up there, as well.

I always heard John Stockton's work outs were legendary. I think they involved running and up and down several valleys just outside SLC. He credited them with adding an extra 5 to 7 years to his career.
