HM goes to Bynum, from the reports that are coming out, he's going ten hours strong per day. His all-star aspirations are about to become a reality.

the reports coming out? what reports? there has only been one report that details his workout and it was a blog from his trainer on his site.

Andrew wanted me to share with all of you what the last ten days have looked like from his perspective. It all begins on the track at about 7:30-8:00 a.m. each morning for a serious hour and a half workout. We must begin early because after all,....... this is “Hotlanta” and after 9:30 a.m. one could practically melt! Immediately following extensive work on the track we move on to resistance (weight) training in the weight room for about a one-hour session. Basketball is the last activity for the morning/afternoon session and varies from one to three hours. Later that evening he is again put to the test for one more conditioning activity which usually lasts for about an hour and a half. That only leaves time for healthy eating and much needed sleep. This guy is a serious worker; you almost can’t give him enough.

track 1.5 hrs
weight training 1 hr
basketball 1-3 hrs
conditioning 1.5 hrs

total: 5-7 hrs

I'm shocked no one has mentioned Andre Iguodala yet. That kid lives in the gym, and it shows more than most players in the league...He's top 5 IMO...

My vote goes to Larry Hughes.

Sure, he cant shoot the ball at all, but it isnt because of lack of effort. I heard that he gets in 5000 shots a day!! And I read that he doesnt stop shooting until he makes 20 in a row!

I heard that he gets up at 3 A.M. every morning and just runs in place until 5. Then he pumps iron for two hours and then cools down with yoga. He says he does this in order to prevent injuries, and he has the track record to prove that it works.

But his real work goes into his slashing skills and his defense. We all know that Larry Hughes is a slasher. You'd be absolutely blind if you watched him play and didnt praise his tremendous slashing ability and defensive prowess.

Want to know how he got so good at slashing? Get this...he practices slashing for EIGHT HOURS A DAY. EIGHT HOURS!!!!! He even hired a personal slashing coach to make sure he is using proper slashing technique on his slashes.

After his rigorous slashing workout, Larry goes to work on his defense. Some call his defensive training unconventional, but you cant argue with the results (He made 3rd team defense that one year). Every day after his slashing workout, Hughes heads up to a local YMCA. He will scope out the pickup games taking place and look for the best offensive player. Once he identifies the most prolific scorer on the courts, he will jump into the game and LOCK DOWN that player for the rest of the game. That's how he became so good at locking down the other team's best player.

He will go from Y to Y locking down the best player for 2-3 hours a day. Look at all the work he puts in!! Larry puts in upwards of 14 hours on a LIGHT day! You cant even argue for someone else, Larry Hughes has the best work ethic in the NBA.

Duncan, he isn't chiseled and made out of stone, but he doesn't have to be. He's one of the most coach-able players, doesn't have any attitude problems, and is humble despite his status. Dude does his job as well as anyone else.

A good friend of mine from University grew up with Joe in Beijing. He is best friends with Joes older bro and they chill all the time. He tells me that the coaching staff at WVU brought a pull out couch into the locker room because Joe was literally sleeping in their so that he could be the first one on the court in the morning.
The guy spent so much time working on his ups it's insane. From what i have heard first hand, the kid has unprecedented work ethic.

Hahaha, he practices yoga to prevent injuries and that works? Have you followed Larry Hughes' career. The dude is pretty injury prone man... And despite all this working out, it doesn't seem to be doing much good for his game...

I read the first couple paragraphs, thought the guy was off his rocker and didn't go on after that...But after reading it in its entirety, yes I do...

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Corey Maggette. The guy lives in the gym.
