Re: Anti-Doping policy in the Olympics
I don't notice anything out of the ordinary in comparison to how he played in 06. In my opinion he was every bit as explosive and athletic then as he is now. I mean, they don't call him Flash for nothing.
It's just been magnified at the Olympics because, A. He's been injured over the past two years, which makes you forget just how dynamic he can be; and B. He's playing against teams that are nailed to the floor, which only magnifies his quickness and leaping ability.
The only difference I see is that he's a little bit thicker. Considering he's begun lifting weights for the first time in his life, that's very understandable.

His current physique and athleticism certainly look unnatural and has improved very quickly from few months ago. I can buy LeBron and Howard being genetically gifted with no need for funky substances, but Wade....he raises some suspicions for sure.
You're right -- he didn't play or look anything like this back in 2006, when he won an NBA championship almost by himself.
I think he is in a way better shape currently than the '06 playoffs. He used to tear it up back then, but now this is just entering the realm of freaky odd, especially after his injuries. And this has nothing to do with the US-Greece stuff and such, it's an observation that i guess a lot of people could make regardless of nationality. His athleticism has grown to a level that leaves players like Kobe in the dust. There is athletic athletic and there is weird, freaky, unusual athletic. If it's just genetics and superb training regimen, good for him and good for the sport, since he is so damn spectacular, but there is something about him that makes me think "untraceable substance".
I was thinking more along the lines of Tim Grover.

I know that arguing on the net is like running at special Olympics...
You took a position, added a bunch of facts that supposedly proved that doping is more or less impossible or irrelevant in specific athletes (probably the US subgroup).
there is a strong history of doping in US, a history of cover ups, noone really knows how widespread that is. There is a strong history of doping in swimming, very strong.
You think anti-doping is a step ahead of doping? Well, most of the world has different opinion.
I never said that US athletes are more guilty then others. There's been doping everywhere. many national heroes throughout the world were found guilty, my country is no exception to that.
What was your position on Marion Jones at the top of her fame?
What about Carl Lewis?
And let me throw a pebble, what do you think about Lance Armstrong, always suspected, never caught?
And some fun read for a grief debate.
You make no point with your accusations just like your Euro buddies.
You keep bringing up Marion Jones, and Carl lewis.
We all know they have been caught with Juicing, and also you just like your buddies keep on repeating that the US athletes and our goverment has the ability to hide and conceal our atheletes wrong doings.
But to porve you and your Euro buddies wrong, over and over again I take pride in that, since not only you attack the posters but you have yet again failed badly in proving that US atheletes get leaniancy by their wrong doings.
You claimed that Basketball players and football players dont abuse roids, again you were wrong, Yes basketball players dont but football players do, actaully it is one of our biggest concerns here in the states that our youth specailly in football use steriods, thats why I pointed out a young kid in high school knows more about steriods that 90% of Euro posters on here.
There is one NBA player that was caught juicning in the NBA Chris Anderson, and he was banned from the NBA after he was caught, so again you guys were wrong that the NBA doesnt test their players, and they have been testing for a lot of years, specially after
But allow me to prove you and your buddies YET AGAIN.
Also I attack the post not the poster, but if the poster decides to take cheap shots, false accusations, missleading information and specailly insulting Americans then it becomes personal yet I have try to be as professional as I can be in my replies.
Now on this link you can clearly see that the majority of steriod abuser and doppers are Euro athletes and you can also see that their are a good amount of US atheletes that have been busted for substance abuse, but some of the US athletes arent even involved in the Olympics yet the majority of the Euro and South Amercians are involved in the Olympics.
Above all you can see that our favorite sport here in the States which happens to be basketball, you cant find one single basketball player that has been linked or busted to steriods, yet when you look at your Soccer teams you can clearly see that your favorite game has not one but well over 30 athletes that have been caught for steriods and dopping......LOLLLLL
Also one more thing on this list of doping players, some of you kept on bringing up EPO, please take the time and notice that EPO is highly used by Euro, Russian specially from Yugoslavia Poland, and Russisan Athletes not by US Athletes as I mentioned before.
Also when you do look at some of the US athletes, some of them have been busted with Marijuana and Cocaine........
Also to mods, I do realize that by board rules Im suppose to post the link and a small section of the link but in this case if it is OKAY with you guys I felt that it would serve a better purpose to post the entire list to make my point, I hope thats okay.
As far as you Badwolf, let me know when you can admit your wrong and you had enough.

Banning for marijuana/cannabis/THC is the stupidest thing. It's not like who can eat the most Funyuns is an Olympic event.

They are so far ahead of the athelets that they actually had the technology to test for EPO before EPO even came in the Market, and thats how Marion Jones got busted.
The drug makers are actually about 2 years ahead of testing. Testing just can't keep up at all and it's a well known fact. Jones didn't get busted due to a test, one test was positive but her backup sample tested negative which cleared her. She was busted because of a letter she wrote admitting it.
Do some research on the current state of doping and you'll realize how futile the current testing efforts are.
Things like testosterone doping present their own challenges due to differences in the human body.

That's why the olympics is now keeping competitor blood test samples for 8 years. There's some sort of plan to retroactively test old blood samples as new tests and information becomes available.

Honestly, you and your Euro buddies just cant admit your wrong.
First you claim that US Athletes Juice (which they do and no one is arguing they dont) then you claim the success of our ASS Wooping is soley based on our athletes using roids and being able to get away with it, whcih I have proven you wrong since when you look at this list of names you can clearly see that there are US Athletes that have either been banned or disciplined for their actions.
Then you (Euros) keep on bringing up C.Lewis, Marion J using EPO, when they have self admited juicing, then I prove you guys wrong over and over again that EPO is popular among Euro athletes not U.S since you can clearly see the list of drugs that these athletes have been using and the Euro athletes out number the US athletes 20 to 1 LOLLLLLLLLL.
I gave you list of athletes, the country they represent, the form of drugs they have been caught with, and now you have been proved wrong yet over and over again, and this is all you have to say.
I have come up with facts/links with all of my posts and have proven all of yours as well as your buddies (Euro) accusations every single time, and yet your still trying to deny that you guys are wrong and you have no proof or facts to backup your claims, but a simple childish response like you have on this post................
Dammmmmmmm ...... Okayyyyyyyy.

Re: Anti-Doping policy in the Olympics
Just jealousy and envy on the part of the Europeans who are getting their butts handed to them on the court. Just look at the athletes who were caught before or during the Olympic games so far. Only one American compared to at least 30 Europeans. It looks like all of the American bashing is starting to blow up in their face. Come on, people, anti-Americanism is so passe.
As for the US basketball team, it's absolutely insane to think that any of these players are on steroids. These players are some of the best athletes the US has to offer. They've been able to run and jump that high since they were kids. It's called athleticism, something most of the Europeans basketball players lack.
It's no coincidence that after the US team blows out Greece and Spain, the allegations - with no substance - begin. Sour grapes!!!

Yeah, proved it every single time. No doubts allowed. Or other explanations.

Dwyane Wade is just Dwyane Wade again, unlike he was last year.
