Forget Carmelo. How much better would the Pistons lineup be if it was:
C-Ben Wallace
PF-Chris Bosh
SF-Prince
SG-Hamilton
PG-Billups
Likely, if Bosh were a Piston. We wouldn't be having this "declining" Pistons discussion.
Or even if it was
C-Rasheed Wallace
PF-Chris Bosh
SF-Prince
SG-Hamilton
PG-Billups
That lineup can score from the 1 to the 5.

1-14: Dumars sucks at drafting.
15-60: Dumars rocks at drafting.
This is the law: never give Dumars a lottery pick. He must not know what to do with himself when given the opportunity to draft non-obscure players.
His free agent signings have been good, but not necessarily great (mistakes like Nazr).
His trades have been downright awesome.
He's not perfect, but there's very few GMs better than him.

I like Dumars a lot. I'm loving Stefanski right now, but if Stefanski got hit by a bus tomorrow, there are few guys I'd take over Dumars right now.
As for Ratliff, I just hope coming back to Philly maybe sparks some energy and passion in him. Ratliff is and always will be a Sixer.

the thing i love about theo the most is that every one of his fouls is borderline flagrant.

Without that trade, we wouldn't have Elton Brand. It's safe to say Elton Brand> Kyle Korver. Plus, whatever value Korver brought to the table was replaced by Kareem Rush. I do think we need another G/F. I'd love it if the guy can slash into the paint and wreck havoc. If we don't get a Ross. Give meKirk Snyder. He averaged a career high 7 PPG.
