Matsui activated, Toronto tonight...

Post#1 » by cmaff051 » Tue Aug 19, 2008 8:08 pm

Matsui is activated and will bat 7th tonight as the DH.

We face Burnett and have Rasner on the mound tonight. Should be an interesting game to watch.

This is it...if he can't energize the lineup soon, we're through (if we aren't already).

burnett has 13 strike outs. He usually dominates us it seems. But this is no suprise I have seen pedestrian pitching staffs get us for double digit strikeouts in a 9 inning game..

Inglett hit a bleeder. Then Damon misplayed a ball in CF, again. That's not on Veras. That's on Damon. -Jitpal

Edit: Sorry I don't know what I was thinking. Inglett didn't hit a bleeder, he hit a solid single. My mistake. -Jitpal

We lose this game, you can kiss the playoffs goodbye.

1 run in a must-win game... says it all about this season.

Well there is a heartbreaker if you have never seen one. Yankee killers were out there making plays. A.J. "Nolan Ryan" Burnett and Marco "Ted Williams" Scutaro. Unbelievable. This one hurts. -Jitpal

just like that. great effort by rasner wasted. and then the rays come back after being no hit for 6 innings and score 4 runs to win... can we all just agree here, now on Aug 19 2008, that the rays are either too good or too lucky and the yankees arejust not good enough... time to mail it in. 11 behind the rays and soon to be 5 or 6 behind the sox..... done deal. I think I can now mail it in for good..

I don't think this deserves its own thread so i'll put it here for lack of better options...

I caught news that Pete Abraham sent a half-assed cease and desist letter to Big Blue Interactive (a Giants board) regarding posting from and linking to his blog... he said they were stealing his material and that they had to delete all of it or he'd get The Journal News's lawyers involved. The way I see it, if he wants to be a colossal dick and deny the Journal easy web traffic by not allowing message board linking, let's play along. Dude's a bitchy drama queen anyway... he's useless without his quick updates on team news.
