Mil/Phx trade idea

Post#1 » by RAtheMONsession » Thu Aug 21, 2008 1:01 am

Milwaukee Gives:
- Michael Redd
- Charlie Villanueva
- Ramon Sessions

Phoenix Gives:
- Amare Stoudemire
- Leandro Barbosa
- Alondo Tucker

Why for the Bucks??
- The bucks have a weakness at PF going into this year now that Skiles is the coach, and Villanueva really doesnt fit his scheme. He is still very young and has potential, just not on the Bucks. To get a front court of Richard Jefferson/Amare Stoudemire/Andrew Bogut, I think they could have the best 3-4-5 in the East. We also bring Tucker back to Wisconsin :D

Why for the Suns??
- I dont know for sure... but I think they have been trying to get rid of Barbosa for a while now. Shooting Guard along with Small Forward are probably your only 2 weak positions, and I think upgrading to Redd/Bell and downgrading from Amare/Diaw to Villanueva/Diaw is worth it. You also get your future replacement at PG, which I think would make most bucks fans reject this trade.... Most Bucks fans think he is the next best thing, but it looks like Hammond/Skiles think Ridnour is our solution.

I didn't mean to be harsh, but that trade is god aweful for the Suns. Redd is good but I think he is overpaid and contracts aside I wouldn't trade Amare for any 2 Bucks.

And despite Barbosa's shortcomings the Suns are not looking to give him away. He's still an offensive dynamo with a very reasonable contract.

Diaw would be a much easier get if you were offering a shorter contract.

I dont know how long it is until the bucks can trade Damon Jones... but this would work

Charlie Villanueva and Damon Jones (4.5 mil expiring)
for
Boris Diaw

Hows that one sound?

Yea, id love to get rid of CV, but even I think that deal would hurt the bucks too much

Having...
Redd- 15 million
Jefferson- 13 million
Diaw- 9 million
Bogut- 6 million
Gadzuric- 6 million
Ridnour- 6 million
I dont think would work...

I think Villanueva and Gadzuric (has 3 years, but 3 million less per year) for Diaw would be more reasonable. Thoughts?

ok so we agree that the 1st trade idea is a total joke, and that the 2nd might be worht our time. I'll second that.

Unbelievable. Makes the Gasol trade look like a canny piece of negotiation. For Memphis.
