I agree. While probably not all that respected, this is one die-hard Laker fan who absolutely loves LeBron James -- his game, his style, his sheer beastliness, everything. Not just him, either. I've thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to treat the guys on Team USA as one of my own for a few weeks. If you're using the Olympics as an opportunity to pump one guy up over the other, to me, you're totally missing the point. Save the petty fanboy crap until the regular season. Until then, sit back and savor the spectacle of the world's best players balling together as one.

Well said. I for one have enjoyed watching these guys play together. Every game is an All-Star game, except it's taken more serious.

Too bad that will fall on a lot of "deaf ears" here on the General Board. :(

If you are including the Lakers board on RealGM in your generalizations then you are wrong. There is one LeBron related thread on the 1st page titled "KB24 vs. LBJ. The gap is closing..." and you'll note that many of us are in agreement that the gap has closed (or that it's very close) and LeBron is closing in on being the top dog. Most of the more respected posters on the board have a tremendous amount of respect for LeBron so your accusations are baseless if it's concerning the RealGM Lakers board.

I was mainly talking about Laker Ground (which has way way more Laker fans) and other places like LakerNation and some of the Laker fans in the GB (including this thread), which is why I said earlier I wasn't talking about 'all laker fans', but instead talking about 'quite a lot' of them that I've noticed.

someone gave me a link to that board, some of the things i read were comedy man..kinda sad too..makes the Toronto fans in here look unbiased ...but most team boards are like that..that why i stay around RealGM.

What I find funny is the intra sqaud scrimmage last year in vegas was held at the same place as the 2007 all star game, had basically the same players, who took the game far more seriously. I looked into going to the actual all star game but it was going to cost a couple thousand for nose bleed seats. I looked too late to make the trip, but the seats to that were dirt cheap, easy to find and hardly anyone bothered to watch it on tv. That scrimmage was more competitive and more fun to watch than most all star games.

kobe and kidd are the leaders. lebron is vocal but i doubt anyone is really following him that much.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

Too much is made of this.

I think Wade was as much a leader as anyone with his play on the court. LeBron also performed very well.

This team doesn't really need a leader so much as for each individual player to keep with the program. Which they did for the most part.
