Donyell Marshall?

Post#1 » by TheOUTLAW » Fri Aug 22, 2008 1:59 am

Why in the world are there about a half dozen threads (at least) by people saying that there team should bring in Donyell? Did something happen since he was traded? Like, did he find the fountain of youth?

C'mon Outlaw, you know the mantra of all the "new" Cavs fans--if it can shoot, Cleveland needs it.

The first thing I thought of when I saw he was released was "Please retire" before all the ridiculous posts urging the Cavs to bring him back started. Guess I was too late.

he was injured last year, he was a top contributer in the playoffs the year before, we are very thin up front, and 2 of the 3 main guys have back issues. If he's healthy this year and we can limit him to 10 minutes or so/game, I don't see why we wouldn't bring him in for the veteran minimum - he's been here before and knows the system already. That doesn't mean we still don't search for a quality big. But who would really be better as an emergency backup, Donyell or Alred?

I hope he retires. If some how ends up on the Cavs I will shoot my self in the foot. He is a fat as* that thinks he can shoot corner 3 but always misses them.

He is washed up and slightly injury prone.. Shouldn't even think about retrieving him.

As a forward he shot under 40 percent for out team. He sucks, and was our worst rotation player for 3 years in a row. I dont want him back.

He usually hits them from one corner and misses them from the other - somehow nobody on the team ever, including donyell, figured that out and half the time had him positioned in the wrong corner.
