Eh, I don't pay attention to preseason rankings. Almost, every ranking will place the Kings low. So, I don't really care about that. And besides the Blazers are too high. Even their fans think that.

The Kings never did have that homerish following in the world of sports journalism like the Lakers or Celtics do. Some team has to get shafted to make room for those guys. That said, I don't think we should be too much higher than 26.

Hate to tell you guys but we traded our two "best" players, or at least the players everybody thought were number 1 and number 2 in the pecking order. It's what happens when you trade those players for the kind of packages we traded them for. I wouldn't be surprised to see this team shock the heck out of people but if the young guys can really use the next season or two to get acquainted to the NBA game, we get a top 5 pick next year, maybe another lotto pick the year after, and we get that cap space in 2010 we'll be set for the long haul.

I am a little surprised we aren't lower. I don't think people realize some of the individual talent that is still on this team that will now get a chance to hopefully build some chemistry.

I think 26 is sadly resonable.

If we're the 26th best team in the league I'll be happy: Ricky Rubio sweepstakes, baby !

Preseason polls for pro league mean about as much as they do in college.........next to nothing.
Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed.

I really don't know what to expect from next season, but yeah. we were barely a PO (when healthy) and traded our top 2, so their rankings do make sense.

I would say that 26 is a worst case scenario, meaning we don't play well and main guys get injured. I think top 15 is possible if everything goes well, but in reality, we will most likely end up from 19-22, again.

Definitely a little low IMO, but that's far from the most ridiculous part of those rankings.

I can't take seriously any ranking that has Blazers top 5. In the next few years, sure, but not this season. Memphis and Minnesota over Charlotte, Chicago, Sacramento and Indiana? Nevertheless, the ranking just goes to show how equal stacked teams that will fight for playoffs are: almost every team except the last 3 have a chance to make it into postseason.
