Are you mental? He got to the line 13 times and hit all of them. That's a lot for a FIBA game, and quite a few on team USA seem to have a problem hitting free throws. Besides, I wasn't saying making free throws made him a role model, but it shows the people who think he played like trash are (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

He also isn't nearly as bad as your Jailblazers used to be. And as pointed out, no one freaked about Kobe being a thug when he did the same thing, so grow up.

Melo shot 3/14 and 3 of his free throws shouldn't have counted. When is 3/14 a good game?

You could start a thread called "who slaps their mom?" or "who kicks puppies?" and someone would mention Carmelo.

Why does Melo have to be a role model? Can't he just be a regular person and a basketball player? If my kid looks up to a sports figure as there role model instead of me then I would not be doing my job as a dad.

In fact Melo has shown alot of maturity this summer. He has taken a back seat in the scoring department and hasn't complained about it at all. He has been team USA most physical player and has played great defense and rebouded very well for playing out of position.

If you can't give Melo credit for the way he has let the scoring go and focused on other things then you are just a blind hater.

And the question was asked when is 3-14 ever a good game. How about it is when the "TEAM" wins by 20 and you go 13-13 from the line. Played hard physical defense and did all the little things to help the team win.

The thing most of you don't realize is there is more to the game of basketball than just looking at the box score at the end of the game.

Any man that throws a punch and runs away, like he did at MSG, is a big time pussy_cat. Melo is the most FAKEST gangsta in the whole NBA. He's a coward and a fake and I am super glad he doens't play for my team. There isn't a single player on the Argentina team that couldn't beat the p!ss out of Melo.

Racism is not dead in the USA. Racism is not dead in the rest of the world either. This is a problem that will continue to face all of us in the the future too. But the fact is.... racism against black people has very very little to do with the criticism that Melo gets. As we know the whole team USA is black or half black, yet there is only one guy who is being ragged on. Melo. He continually shows he isn't a very bright or mature person. I would happilly leave my infant in the care of most of team USA but would you let Melo babysit your baby? Not me. Not because he's black but because I just don't trust the guy.

No...if anything, he'd be called a goon. That word has been around hockey forever, and I never even watch the NHL.

All I've heard out of you is the word goon, you don't have to post it on every page. We get the idea.

That was actually a pretty funny post, I tend to agree with Obina when he's not talking about Amare.

I have seen worse then that in almost every NBA game I have ever watched. Trashing a guy for getting in a players face? Are you **** kidding me? Whats next trashing Melo for giving a ref a dirty look? There are plenty of things to use in his past, try using those as this whole incident makes some of you look like ignorant haters who do not watch basketball games at all, let alone play in them. of coutrse if what Melo did was considered bad, maybe you are not old enough to stay up late enough at night to actually watch NBA games.

Oh I don't think people are bashing him solely because of this incident. It's more of a cumulative thing.
