What kind of player do you think Goran Dragic will most likely turn out to be?

look all I know is Steve Kerr has tried to convince Dantoni to play defense, trade for a true center, drafted a to fill Pg needs and center needs, signed players that are tough minded and hardworking, hired a coach that is hardworking and tough all of which us fans wanted to see happen. Isnt that enough? I mean everyone thought Robin lopez was a stretch at 15? was he?

I look at last seasons and this season's FO moves- first traded shawn for shaq, wanted to hire Tom T but dantoni declined so what did TT Do? Look at the celts if u need a extra reminder. now onto dragic do u think this is 100 percent Kerr? I think Kerr has some pull but Griff among others has there input as well. For me I am excited to see him play. do I expect him to take us to the promise land? NOPE! I expect Shaq, AMare,Steve,Raja,Grant,BOris, and LB to be those guys that carries this team to the promise land. I think the hype is based on what they project him to be not what he may eventually become. Do I think he will be great? ehh but he was smart enough to only workout out with phx. He is mature enough to understand his game and with that maturity he also has humility and work ethic. ALL of which can help him become a great player.

I want to see a good pg not exactly a HOF pg. I believe in the FO because in my book all the moves they have made make sense.

I saw his work out on tape. He looks like he can shoot as of June 08!! Do you guys really think if Straw was better than Drag the Suns would pay all of that money?? Do you really think management is that dumb?

A lot of the prospects can shoot open jumpers in workouts so the workout videos don't really mean anything. Sean Marks can hit long range jumpers in practice but in a real game he doesn't make make them with consistency.

West is a good shooter though, so that doesn't work.

Comparison for Dragic?

Goran is the white DJ Stawberry, how many times do I have to tell that to tell you people?
I'd love for him to actually BECOME the 2nd best PG of the 2008 draft like our FO thinks he is, and beat down Bayless for the Monta Ellis part deux award, but I doubt he becomes THAT good.

On the list, I say Dragic will wind up being a solid bench player.
He's not good enuf a playmaker to become a starting PG on a good team, and lacks the combination of size and scoring ability it takes to be a starting SG on a good team.
His high energy/hustle and stuck-in-between-two-spots thang make him a very good fit for solid bench play tho.
