they shouldn't have lost to lithuania the first time.

Argentina deserves what it has gotten. Power to them for getting this far. They need a really big man, not a real big wimp in Febreeze Oberto.

you're right

if we wouldnt have lost that one, we were going to finish at the top of the group and therefore not playing the US in the semis.

still, argentina won the bronze and thats ok

What a luxury other teams have...defending champs getting Bronze is okay. If the U.S. gets Bronze, the basketball world is turned upside down.

Yeah.. a 3rd world country having won gold, and without their superstar in the last match getting bronze is definetly not high enough. They should start cuban like camps where they take away the kids for like decades so they become super stereoids athletes and then they can be men and keep their dignity.

That wasn't a knock on Argentina. I'm just saying the U.S. has a lot more pressure no matter who plays or who gets hurt. Losing one game, even in pool play, is unacceptable.

Congrats to Argentina for a strong tournament.

Seems like this could be the last hurrah for this team Olympics wise.

I don't know what their prospects are as far as brilliant young players, but it would be hard to imagine them duplicating this quality of team in 4 years.
