A-Rod: The Chad Johnson of Facial Hair

Post#1 » by TheGhostDog » Thu Aug 21, 2008 3:03 pm

If any of you want to understand what Aaron Rodgers' sense of humor is like, watch the second half of his Aug. 20th interview video on Packers.com. His latest look - the "friendly muttonchops" - is apparently just one of several planned homages Rodgers has up his sleeve for pre-season, somewhat like Chad Johnson's pre-planned weekly TD celebrations. As a history buff I have to salute A-Rod, and as a Packer fan I am happy he has a good sense of humor - he'll need it, facing the jeers of replacing a legend.

I don't have a problem with all the goofy facial hair experiments he does during preseason, but someone needs to tell him to do something with that shag on the top of his dome. Just buzz it Rodgers!

If he has a buzz and a Fu Manchu, that would be super styling!

I'm just happy that the guy has the the sense of humor that he does. Sometimes he is a riot. Just as long as he doesn't really suck it up, then he really looks like a fool, but I have faith he'll play good this year and in years to come.

If he does the buzz and Fu, I'd be worried he looks too much like the leather guy from Village People... not that there's anything wrong with that.

What I really want to see next from Rodgers is the D-Day look from Animal House (w/ Tauscher as Bluto), or failing that, maybe a Rollie Fingers.
