I'd be all over that Jackson deal.

We would be a PF upgrade away from controlling the East for the next few years

If pavs from 07 comes back that would be terrific. We need a great defender at the 2 spot with Mo in the backcourt, and i think pavs can do that. If he can average like 13 pts a game with 40+ on three balls as well we would be set with a very nice backcourt rotation.
Having Mo and west share point with Boobie and 07 pavs is a good backcourt.

Hopefully the guy can bounce back.

if the olympics tought us anything its the fact that you benifit from having scorers at EVERY position.

JR smith would be great. Lets lebron attack on defence. He can get out and he can shoot the corner three with some sort of consitancy.

Mo means we finally have someone else that can create indivdually. All your offence should come from teh backcourt these days anyway. Bigs are garbage menif yo udont have tim duncan. Amare is a garbage man, D12 is a garbage man. They are just the best at it.

Let Z and whoever clean up pressure for offensive boards etc. The backcourt runs the show. And now we know lebron can facilitate from the high post aslong as he actually has a backcourt that can create for itself (which the cavs formally couldnt).

That being said. Dont want any slow ass defensive Sgs. Give me JR smith 1) mikel peitrus 2) and Sascha Pavlovic is still a descent back up.

Isn't the title of the thread SG?

I think the poster is saying he wants Wallace at the SG position.

cavsfan_osiris wrote:He can play PF if the Cavs are going small. The Cavs plan on using LeBron at PF some and have in the past so that wouldn't be a problem with Gerald Wallace either. A healthy Gerald Wallace would be a great fit. The Cavs would still have potential big men problems though so that should be addressed first.

The Cavs don't plan on using LeBron at the PF. Where did you read that? This is based on posters saying he could play the 4 (obviously there's not much LBJ can't do). But it would be a stupid plan to have LBJ banging with the big bodies down low. He's the franchise, why would they put him at risk? I thought we had Z, Big Ben, AV and Joe Smith last year.. and Gooden and Donyell before that. When was LeBron at the 4 for an extended period of time by plan?

Gerald Wallace would make an awful PF.

JR Smith and Mikael Peitrus both have been signed.

I'm also interested in seeing how Sasha comes back this year. He's bought into the Mike Brown system which has elevated his Defensive game to better than average. I can see his Offensive game maturating into above avg or at worst avg. If he puts the same amount of work in, as he did on the defensive side of the ball {also if Mike B gets a clue and allows Mo Will to run some type of offense}. If not we should be able to move Wally contract at the trading deadline and get us a SG. I just think that Sasha is going to surprise us.

Well that's an even worse idea G-Force is a sf/pf... He is in no way a sg, he has no outside shot.
