I doubt it was even Anthony's idea..he probably doesn't know what he's even attending..
did melo sleep with your girl? Are you the guy who he knocked out for spitting on his girl? Did he tell your sister or mom he would call and never did? Did he tell you no when you asked to be a member of his entourage? There has to be a personal reason for you to hate the guy so much, otherwise you just look completely foolish going out of your way to talk badly (both personally and basketball wise) about a guy who you have never met, and that has never done a thing to you.
well first of all, none of us know any of these players..so if we can't hate on them, we shouldn't be able to cheer them on neither..since we don't know them personally and all, they could be bad people, just like they could be good people..none of us know them personally, so we judge them based on what we know..I'm sure they like the trade..millions of $ and fame for getting criticized by nobodies like me..
So you judge a guy based on what you know. Nothing wrong with that other then the fact your whole attack on Melo is based on a couple of minor incidents with no regard to the good that he has done throughout his career. you come off as an ignorant hater, who catches a couples of stories on sportscenter and runs with it regardless of facts.
The funny thing is that your biggest point in every thread is that fight that happened in New York almost two years ago, the sad part is that I have yet to see you say anything bad about any of the guys who started the fight or were even involved if they are not Nuggets, you do realize that Melo threw the last punch but many of your boys on the Knicks did much worse then one punch. what about the 3 knicks players who were punching and choking Melo and JR? OR does that not count because they are Knicks?
HarlemHeat37 wrote:second of all, you aren't funny..
Not even trying to be funny, pointing out the obvious that your clear bias clouds your judgement, and just hoping you had a valid reason for your constant attacks other then just being a hater.
HarlemHeat37 wrote:third of all, what's up with all these idiots on RealGM? "going out of my way"? it's a **** Carmelo Anthony thread..the other thread I hated on him was a game thread for the US game, where he was acting like an idiot, and we're supposed to comment on the game..it's not going out of my way at all, clown...
I have seen you throughout Realgm for 2 years constantly attacking Melo in any thread that can in any way be associated with Melo or the Nuggets. You want to start calling people clowns and idiots, for bringing attention to your idiotic behavior?
HarlemHeat37 wrote:I don't like how he thinks he's a thug and tries to intimidate "weaker" players on the court..I don't like how he punches other players and runs away.
As for being a thug, he does much less of that then most plaeyrs in the NBA, even Nate Robinson who I have seen you stick up for plenty of times throughout the years, face the fact, you cannot stand him because he got in a fight with your Knicks 2 years ago and you cannot handle it.
HarlemHeat37 wrote:I don't like how he makes minorities look bad..
How does Melo make all minorities look bad? Do you honestly think people are that shallow that they will identify one young mans actions with a whole race? Comments like this are half of the problem with race relations in this country. A man has to act a certain way because of the color of his skin or he is a problem. this is such bull it is sad. The only people claiming he is representing all minorities are the same people ignorant fools who hide behind their color when things do not go their way, and blame everybody else for their problems.
HarlemHeat37 wrote:since he's supposed to be a role model to kids..
1st of all why is any pro sports player a role model for kids? Growing up I may have loved what players did on the court or field, but I never spent any time worrying about what they did off of it. My mother steered me to real role models, you know the solders that were willing to give their lives to their country, the teachers who spent their whole lives dedicated to helping kids learn, the firefighter who did everything they could to save people in danger, and even her and my grandparents. I try to do the same with my kids as well, as any decent parent should. If you are teaching your kids to look up to these athletes as someone to follow you are in for trouble, as every one of them has things in their past to not be proud of.
Saying all that though, the sad thing about your Melo hate is you refuse to acknowledge the good he has done. You know spending millions dollars to build a kids center in his old neighborhood, millions for a new basketball facility at his old school, donating constantly to other charities in both Colorado and Maryland, or weeks running a kids basketball camp in Denver (even while playing basketball 10 months a year), playing in charity games throughout the world, or even begging to play for team USA twice (especially after the way Brown attacked him and tried to blame him for the bronze in Athens), and not only getting on the team a 2nd time, but being their best player 2 years in a row and then taking a step back in the olympics to do what was best for the team. Of course acknowledging any of those may all make you look foolish with your constant attacks, because any of those should make you happy that your kid likes the guys, a relatively minor fight, appearing in what you thought was a home video, and a trace amount of weed is ridiculous when compared to that stuff. Nobody is perfect but at least this kid is trying.
HarlemHeat37 wrote:he's a piece of ****..I don't like how he's overrated..
How is Melo overrated? He is constantly attacked on message boards, blogs, national tv, on local tv, national radio, local radio, and even in newspapers. The guy put up 25.7 ppg on 49.2% shooting, with 7.4 boards, and 3.4 assists while playing basically the exact same defense in Denver that he did with team USA (which got him praise there but scorned here) all while being option 1b on offense with one of the most selfish players in the history of the game, and playing with the worst stat hog in the league on the defensive end. Yet there are many people on TV, Radio, and this board who refuse to even acknowledge Melo is a top 5 Sf, let alone a top 15-20 player. So where does the overrating come from?
