well they lost, turnovers and defense didn't play to well

but they made it a priority to throw the ball and i thought they did well, tavaris especially
and booty had about a quarter and a half to play, which is good

and i like hicks, he was a good pick up for a 3rd back, blocking etc.

Although I didn't see the game, I saw some highlights and checked out the boxscore..

Some positives:
QB play - Tavaris looks more comfortable. His footwork has improved some and he's making better reads/throws.

Undrafted Rookies - Erin Henderson and Darius Reynaud are guys I've seen and liked at the college level. EH with 4 tackles/1 assist and DR with a 13 yd reception and a 53 yd kickoff return. EH has a better shot at making the team but we'll see how things play out.

Penalties - Only 3 for 25 yds. Not bad..

Some negatives:
Fumbles - 5 total (4 lost). Way too many.

Sacks - As in they had 4 and we had 0.

Defense - First game and starters barely played, but you'd like to see a better effort regardless.

i was reading in the paper, and the defense was pretty basic, not a lot of fancy stuff put in for this game, so they didn't seem to concerned with how the defense played

and Heath Farwell looks to be out for the season with an ACL tear, that sucks, captain of the special teams

Farwell is a huge blow. Not only on special teams, but LB depth as well.

It just leaves more playing time for Erin Henderson. I wouldn't call it a huge blow but it will hurt if no one steps up.

I would assume so, most backup linebackers are.

2nd game @BAL..

T-Jack injures his knee. Sprained mcl and doesn't look like it will go into the season but he will probably sit out the next few preseason games.

Before he went down, T-Jack was looking impressive again. He was managing the game with good pocket awareness and making some solid throws. And it helps when the receivers are making great catches of their own.. Also, good to see him make some plays with his legs, but the injury did occur on one of his runs. :(

Overall, the offense was looking pretty efficient against the Raven's D (though they were missing a number of starters). The Ravens were pretty agressive on D, but the offense kept the chains moving.
I love the 3rd down efficiency this team has had the past few games. The offense seems to be really coming together. It's funny how opponents put so much effort into stopping our run (especially AP with all the hype he has) and it'll be even funnier when our passing TD's rack up when they stack the box and focus on AP.

As for the defense, I'm worried about the missed tackles and general slowness I've witnessed from the d-line and the LBs. Guys are having trouble getting off of blocks and some are over-pursuing on plays. Regardless of whatever eased/vanilla style they are playing, I'm not seeing enough from these guys. I hope some of the lazy efforts I've seen don't carry into the season.

defense played a better game this time, of course ravens offense isn't near Seattle's offense
tavaris played good before he got hurt, hopefully he can get back

gives Booty more of a chance to beat out brooks

well i didn't watch any of the game, but i heard some on the radio at work
the defense played pretty good, only 4 fg's

AP got a td, but the vikes only rushed for 32 yards
so are they just purposely abandoning the run in the preseason to focus on throwing more?
the great running game will return in the regular season right?

if it wasn't for the 2 fumbles of mendenhall, we wouldn't have scored a point. offense was bad, steelers defense looked very sharp. running offense is argl.

our defense looked even better
