More bad news, looks like KGB is still not recovering well from his knee problems

We are already losing the interior rush of Corey Williams. If KGB misses a bunch of time, plays but isn't effective because of his knee, or is released because of his knee, the pass rush from the front four could struggle badly unless Hunter can produce pressures/sacks as well as KGB did, which the odds are against IMO. Montgomery i'd assume would also get snaps at DE, but he has never struck me as skilled enough at pass rushing to get fairly consistent pressure once the regular season games come around and he'd have to face starting left tackles each week.

Re: Extremely Worried About the Defensive Line
Maybe they'll still make a leap but right now Montgomery and Hunter are very good Special Team guys who are nothing special at the line of scrimmage. Both can play a down here and there and not get destroyed but consistently apply pressure or hold the point of attack? I haven't seen it. Had Thompson shown anythiing at all (he hasn't) there was a good bet one of them would have been cut. Now with KGB hurt they will probably both stick. No upgrade here.
