ORLANDO -- Fresh off his winning a gold medal with Team USA, Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard will be in Los Angeles on Wednesday to film a commercial for McDonald's.
The commercial, which will likely begin airing early the NBA season in October, could include the Superman T-shirt and red, flowing cape that Howard wore back in February when he won the NBA's Slam Dunk competition.
Howard, who averaged 10.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in Team USA's eight Olympic wins, is also expected to be featured in a major advertising campaign by Adidas for the upcoming season. Howard has been a lower-level spokesman for Adidas since coming into the NBA in 2004.
Howard, 22, won't return to Central Florida until this weekend and he's expected to make an appearance at his kids camp. The Saturday-Sunday camp for ages 7 through 18 will be held at the Magic's headquarters at RDV Sportsplex. More information on the camp can be found at http://www.dwighthowardcamp.com.
