Definitely don't agree with giving away the gold medal (and knowing Kidd, I'm thinking there's some ulterior motive to it. Anyone know of the Wynn's swing?)

BUT....I can probably buy his reasoning 1 time out of 100.

The Wynn's took care of them while they were training in Vegas (wonder if Kidd got extra special attention, hmmm?_). So perhaps he felt that the Wynns were as much part of the team as the coaches/scouts/players. And that's the absolute reach of an anology that I can come up with.

They only say they threw their bronze medals in a lake, or lost them, because they're trying to tell us that they don't think the bronze is any sort of achievement at all and that they are only focused on the gold. I think they all still have their medals, if you ask me.
