what are the plans with delonte west?
what are cleveland's plans with delonte west? i'd like to see him on the lakers......you just traded for Mo Williams and sign Gibosn, so i don't think he's much needed on your team....are you matching any offers for him? looking to trade him? (what, if anything would you want back) And would you just let him sign elsewhere?

He'll be back.. Whether it's just this year with a qualifying offer or for additional years with a multi year contract, the Cavs want him back... Gibson is more of an off the ball player, so I don't believe the Cavs view him as a PG, thus would like to have a ball handler coming off the bench...

i would rather trade him now for a center while his value is so high(highest possible) than to let him just walk for nothing. He has no room on our team, we are set with our pg rotation and we don't need 3 pg with good contracts. He can play sg but it will cause us some problems defensively because of his size. we can't have a backcourt of 6'1 and 6'3 or 6'4, that's too small. LEt him go

I think we sign him to QO and then package him as a sweatner is a trade later this year.

Any trade would have to be approved by West since all players who accept the QO get no trade clauses.

I think Ferry signs him to a 3 year deal. If a solid trade presents itself though, I would not be surprised to see him dealt.
As for the lakers being a trade target I don't see a whole lot I would want from them that they would give up. They aren't trading any of their bigs, that's for sure.

The Cavs would do well to sign him to a four year 18 million dollar contract and start him at SG. He will earn the contract and is easily the best option on the roster at SG unless they were to play LeBron at SG.
He really isn't a PG even though he can play the position effectively enough to start for some teams, he is a better SG then he is a PG. He defends the SG position better then he does the PG spot and he is capable of giving a team 12-15 PPG, 4 APG, 4 RPG, 1.5 SPG and as a bonus nearly 1 BPG as a help defender from the weakside which is a rare quality from a slightly under-sized SG.
