btw, this happened in the game vs Milan that we lost 4-0. Not a good sign, but we didn't play THAT bad...and Chimenti was in goal lol.
they played a 4-3-1-2 with Tiago, Sissoko, Poulsen and Nedved as the 1. With those three in the center, I don't think that formation will ever work very well.

yea 3-1 that's what i meant lol

its Juve, Milan and Napoli in the birra moretti. The national team players obviously won't play (including legro who got called up to replace chiellini) so it wouldn't surprise me if they don't do well again.

well, they won the tourney without scoring any goals. Chimenti, the 3rd string scrub of a goalie is actually great at penalties so we beat both Napoli and Milan in pks.

Tiago turned down a move to Everton last week (dammit) and didnt do anything in the game he played.
Giovinco played up top the first game with Amauri, usually he plays on the wing or behind the forwards but he did pretty well. De Ceglie and Sissoko were good.

Trezeguet should be fine for the start of the season.

I have always been a Juventus fan for as long as I can remember. I like watching Palladino the kid is going to be something special soon. He's been pretty good and I remember reading tons of write ups on him saying he was the one to watch under 25 in Italy.

I just wish we still had Fabio Cannavaro he was a great defender but I can't complain on our team now.

they tied artmedia 1-1 in the CL second leg, so they advance winning 5-1.
Amauri scored which is good because he hasn't since the brondby friendly.
Marchisio and Poulsen started in the center and Ranieri said they may start Sunday vs Fiorentina. They're talking up Marchisio in the press and predicting him to step it up this season for us...I hope so.

I think Sissoko is hurt and if that's the case he will be held out of the game. If not then he's the definite starter

.

Palla is in Genoa and i don't beleive that he'll play for Juve again.

Ranieri was pleased with Marchisio and Poulsen in the last friendly against our youngsters a couple of days back . And i'm also impressed with Marchisio , i didn't expect him to play that good .

probable starting lineup vs fiorentina:

Buffon
Grygera Legrottaglie Mellberg Molinaro
Camoranesi Marchisio Poulsen Nedved
Trezeguet Del Piero

Giovinco, Amauri, Iaquinta, De Ceglie, Salihamidzic among the players available on the bench.
no sissoko, chiellini, zebina, zanetti, knezevic.

really tough opening game...

I think they said Nedved is probably gonna be good to go.

Trezeguet just hurt himself though, so Amauri will probably start.
In all the preseason games with amauri/del piero starting, it was the least effective forward pair. Hopefully they do well.

edit: Adrian Mutu and Riccardo Montolivo are out of Fiorentina's squad to face Juventus on Sunday afternoon.

And Pavel Nedved becomes the first Juve player to score in the Serie A this season. Hopefully we don't blow this lead and take down a win against a very tough opponent the first game of the season.

we could have played a little better offensively, but its a fair result against a good team at their place

Tiago 'locked Juve chief in toilet!'

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has confirmed that disgruntled player Tiago Mendes locked him in the loo!

In quite the strangest story to emerge from Serie A in many a year, the tension between the club and Tiago seems to have gone overboard.

“The story of me being locked in the toilet by Tiago is true,” confessed Cobolli Gigli live on Sky Italia television.

lol.

We played alright. to me it felt like there was a foul every other minute before things could really start flowing. Melo got red carded which makes the tie bad on our part since we had the lead.
