PG - Rafer Alston / Steve Francis / Aaron Brooks
SG - Tracy McGrady / Brent Barry* / Luther Head
SF - Ron Artest* / Shane Battier / Patrick Ewing Jr.*
PF - Luis Scola / Carl Landry(FA) / Chuck Hayes / Joey Dorsey* / Mike Harris
C - Yao Ming / Dikembe Mutumbo(FA)

* - new additions

If Mike Harris makes our team he wont be our backup power forward. He is 6'6 and is way undersized. He is better off as our small forward behind Ron and Shane.

I've got to disagree with that on a couple accounts. First, I don't think Gomes will start the season coming off the bench. I think he would replace McCants, moving Miller up to SG. Also, I don't think Love will start right away. I think it will be Collins, even though everyone thinks he sucks. They thought virtually the same thing about Ratliff last year too.

Im not a diehard Timberwolf fan but I have to agree with you. Collins is a very good defensive Center, he will give you nothing on offense but he is good for 10-20 minutes a game while giving Jefferson some time to not be undersized. I think they will bring Love off the bench and he will quickly build him up to getting 30 minutes a game and eventually slide him into the starters role with Collins coming off the bench. I also have read that the Wolves like McCants off the bench as a spark plug and not starting next to Randy Foye.

Collins/Jefferson/Smith
Jefferson/Love/Gomes
Gomes/Miller/Brewer
Miller/McCants/Carney
Foye/Telfair

Can a knowledgeable Houston Rocket fan give me a depth chart with minute distributions?

Will Artest play PF ever? How many minutes will Battier get I cant see him getting less than 24 minutes per game? Is Barry going to have a role in the rotation or will he sort of be an injury, filler minutes at the 1,2, and 3? Is Francis going to play at all or are they gonna stick with Alston and Brooks? Are you trying to resign Landry and Mutumbo, or do you think Joey Dorsey and Chuck Hayes could do their job?

We will sign Landry for sure , no way he walks especially since we have all the leverage.
We want to sign Deke too but imo thats about 50-50 if it happens or not.

The backup pg is unknown , Francis has shown some sparks last year but was mostly injured and fat , there are rumours he is in good shape but we will have to see.

C-Yao(32)/Scola(8)/Hayes(8)
PF-Scola(20)/Landry(20)/Hayes(4)/Artest(4)
SF-Artest(26)/Battier(22)
SG-Mcgrady(32)/Barry(12)/Battier(4)
PG-Alston(30)/Brooks(14)/Barry(4)

Thats the way I see it right now , Francis could easily take Brooks' minutes if he shows he is healthy and can play.

Luther Head is insurance incase Barry or T-Mac gets injured.

I can see Dorsey taking Hayes' minutes if he adjusts defensively quickly.

Even if Deke is signed he won't see minutes early in the season , but will takes Haye's or Dorsey's minutes later in the season and depending on the matchups.

Bobcats:
PG Raymond Felton/DJ Augustine
SG Jason Richardson/Matt Carroll/Shannon Brown
SF Gerald Wallace/Jared Dudley/Adam Morrison
PF Sean May*/Jermareo Davidson/Alexis Ajinça
C Emeka Okafor/Nazr Muhammad/Ryan Hollins

* - Until hurt, than replaced by Okafor with Muhammad playing C

Thanks for the calirifcation on the Rockets minutes, you guys are gonna have a pretty good team, it will be beneficial to be able to play TMac and Yao around 30 minutes per game and still be one of the better teams, while hopefully making the chance of injury less likely. I think its important for you guys to get Landry as insurance still though.

Bobcats really have no expectations or role for Adam Morrison? He was injured last season and the season before that he was a rookie, I cant imagine anyone giving up on a former second pick after just one poor season.

Thanks , it's realy all about injuries for us.
Yao missed signficant time the last 3 seasons.

Tracy has been relatively healthy for awhile now , he didn't have any back issues for 2+ years since he found that new doctor (knock on wood)

Barry is old so the injury risk is bigger.

Landry has been injury prone sso far in his career.

Battier , Alston , Scola are iron man , Artest is ok , not injury prone and not an iron man.

If we stay healthy the only serious problem we have is backup pg , Brooks hasn't shown he is a quality backup and Francis is a big question mark , we expect nothing out of him.

with health and some luck at the backup pg spot we should be good to go.
