Good morning/afternoon/evening suns fans,

This is going to be a positive post concerning the return of Boris Diaw. I know that usually we attack Boris the player becouse of the lack of aggresiveness,lack of productivity and becouse plain and simple, he is soft. But today is the day that Boris is going to change into the player that we all invision after the Mavericks playoff seriouse 3 years ago. This post is going to bring good karma into Diaw's play this upcoming season. This upcoming season Boris is going to averging 13 ppg, 5 rpg, 6 apg and is going to have a plethora of amazing dunks versus team. But more than his production that we are going to see in the stat sheets, he is going to improve DEFENSIVELY and his teamates are going to benefit of this facet of his game.

I understand that in the past, Boris has dissappointed us. But this s going to be a different year, Boris will stand up and become the basketball player that we all came to love( not like they do in the Dirty Scottsdale website.) Spread your good karma on Boris so he can finally fulfill his potential in the Basketball court.

Also what kind of production do you see Boris producing this year... Be realistically...

I'm looking forward to giving Boris a chance under a coach that doesn't just says "go get em". You can't just throw a player onto the court and say make it happen. Boris is a TEAM player. He was forced to be more than what he was prepared for and left with other players who weren't prepared to support him. Don't doubt the man has skills. It stinks that we have had so many quality players never put in positions where they could best be utilized. Sure the starters had their roles but after that it was a wash. My money is on Porter making a decent improvements in defining roles, emphasising defense and effectively using a bench.

The reason for this thread is becouse last year after we got Shaq, we stunk for about 2 weeks. I can't remember who started it but a thread was created in order to give the Suns good luck and good carma. Surprisingly, it help and of course we did not win the title but atleast they play somewhat respectful.

About me prefering McCain vs Obama, If you look at my post I stated that I did not know who I was going to vote for. I said that I was LEANING towards McCain.

Definition for LEANING is: suggests a liking or attraction not strong enough to be DECISIVE or uncontrollable .

Too many "prove me wrong" Suns fans these days. Amazing that the one player who actually gave us a chance at a comeback in that series against the Spurs, playing consistently the way we needed him to in games 4 and 5 gets turned into the whipping boy as soon as the draft got close. Diaw did anything but hurt our chances to advance against the Spurs.

Still amazing it took Mike D'Antoni that long to change him from a catch-and-shoot Small Forward to a post-up Small Forward. What was impressive to me is the consistency and accuracy Diaw showed in games 4 and 5 whenever they had him post-up. Humorously he did back off after reaching 5 fouls in game 5 and San Antonio strategically had Manu defend him.

I'm sure the coaching staff took notice and will design offense around those type of plays this year. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Hill comes off the bench for Diaw. After all, how many teams have three 34+ year olds in the starting lineup?

When Steve Kerr said they listened to a lot of trade offers that would allow them to move up in the draft and that "none of them even came close" indicates they believe Diaw and Barbosa are worth a lot more than what other teams perceive. I'm glad they didn't trade them and doubt they will.

I cant find the link where Diaw's nba draft profile compare him to Bruce Bowen. Maybe a more defensive approach in Porter he can after all. Remember he defended Tony Parker well in Game 4. Diaw particularly used his natural instinct that time to anticipate and negate every move by Tony Parker.

Diaw should have won the Top Underachiever Award for the last two years.

Well, if you look at my post I didn't say you are going to vote for McSame, I just stated that you prefer him to Obama, which to my respectable knowledge of english is fairly similar to "leaning towards". At least is not the opposite, as you are trying to suggest in you reply. And, anyway, my post was ironic and "funny" (now I can't find a better word). I should've posted a smile or something. I didn't intend to offend or anything else. You are entitled to your opinions and your vote.

As for the thread...are you seriously believing that that post last year influenced our season? I believe in karma (the buddhist concept of karma) and I don't think it has anything to do with writing wishful words in order to make them real. But maybe I'm the one mistaken..

Im sorry to say, I know almost everyone here, has something against Boris Diaw and even Leandro Barbosa. But i must say that Boris Diaw will come in place and you will see it. He is solid at what he does, even tho he pisses me off a lot too much pass before play, We all know if he wants to take it to the hole he can. He's going to learn how to be a threat and will shock us all again. He was showing a little of that in the last playoff series if you guys don't remember.

We've seen in the past that Boris can be very usefull for the team. He had pretty good numbers when he started games during Hill's injury and the transition period of O'Neal's trade.
I believe that Diaw deserves a chance as a starter at 3 spot instead of putting Grant. His mid range shot has improved a lot, even if it's not at Hill's level, and he can bring a lot of creativity in our mid court offense. Obviously, it depends on how Terry Porter will run this offense. It appears that the tempo will be slower, we all know that Nash is struggling a bit more when he can't run the ball as usual. Putting Boris on court would be a benediction for Steve who won't be the only one to create and handle the ball.

Besides, a Shaq-Stat-Diaw frontcourt would be terrific and barely unstoppable like if the lakers decide to put Bynum-Gasol-Odom together. It's time to adjust the team, small ball offense is over in NBA, especially in Western Conference where starting five are taller.

Diaw showed in last PO that he can defend on smaller and quicker fellas than him (remember vs Parker in game 4). He doesn't have to play a lot of minutes at SF but I think it may be interesting to start strong and big in order to play more physical and suffocate other teams.
Playing like that leave the option to rotate with our slashers Barnes, Hill, Barbosa...even Dragic too. The versatility of this complete roster must be a strengh and allow the team to run differents kind of tempos and allways surprise opponents.

We will not nor cannot consider ourselves legit contenders if those two crawl into their respective shells again....and we will not be able to deal either of them. It is vital that Porter draws out the very best from each.

What needs to be said about Diaw is CONSISTENCY!!!! This guy has not shown this in any way the past two years. If he can, he will be one of the many keys that helps us win it all.

wow Ray Ray!! your post sounds like a verse straight out of some sort of bible. I don't know exactly how a post can send positive vibes to a professional athlete but your intensions are good. We all hope Boris brings a full season of intensity like he did agains the spurs in the playoffs. YOU CAN DO IT!!
