Post#1 » by vincecarter4pres » Tue Sep 2, 2008 6:41 pm

12 Team league.

Had the 4th overall.

starting spots: QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, TE, WR/RB Flex, Def, K

rules: must have no more than 5 RBs on roster at anytime, must have 2 TE's and 2 Def's at all times.

.5 point per reception
.25 point per rush attempt
.5 per pass completion
1 point every 20 yards rushing, recieving or 25 yards return
1 point every 50 yards passing

Bonus points: 4 points for 150 yards rushing or 100 yards recieving or return yards or 300 yards passing

6 points for 150 recieving or return, 200 yards for rushing, 400 passing

Defensive, Field goals, special teams, fumbles, etc. are pretty much all standard issue scoring except you also get return yards for your team DEF at 50 yards per point.

All touchdowns are 6 points

Fractional Points count.

TE Cooley
Flex Ronnie Brown

Your RBs are going to kill you, if Westbrook doesn’t match last year, but not as much as if something happens to Houshmandzadeh or Holmes.

As far as a 12-team league goes, I really wouldn’t worry too much about the backs since you got three very good ones but I would really consider scouring the waiver wire for better backup at receiver.

Starters are very good, but depth is going to kill you.

i don't get why people would bother drafting a backup defense? how many weeks are you planning on using it? i'd just as soon take another rb or wr, that maybe could be used in a trade

Like I said, we are required to have a backup DEF and TE on our rosters at all times, period.

As well as no more than 5 total RBs, which is what I have.

Burleson might be a top 10 WR easy this year on Seattle.

My computer crashed a few times mid draft and it drafted Reggie Brown for me because for some unknown reason I had him at the top of my que list.

Ronnie Brown is a huge question mark, and the worst part is I drafted him after Ricky Williams was taken.

Now I understand Westbrook had a flatout career year last year, but he has continually been a top back in fantasy, atleast in a PPR league, which is what I am in.

I thought about taking Addai, Brady, Barber or even LJ with the 4th overall, but I still feel Barber would split carries more than most think, Brady possibly has an underlying injury and I feel Addai will be very good and ultra consistent, but his ceiling isn't that great to me more than what he did last year, and my favorite player is Westbrook.
I don't decide who I will pick based on my favorite players, but when it was almost the only thing I could come up with to make me really lean one way or the other between Westbrook and Addai it became the deciding factor, along with the fact the Eagles have a better chance of playing meaningful games the last 3 weeks of the season, atleast in my opinion.
I had no desire to draft Gore, Lynch or Portis with the 4th pick and you could obviously guess who was taken with the 3 picks before me.

In hindsight I kinda wished I drafted somewhat differently, but I am still somewhat satisfied.

My running back depth definitely sucks though, so I am going to have to hawk the waiver wire.

Ronnie Brown was definitely a stretch, but there is a chance he beasts.

Oh well.

sorry man, but that team sucks. cooley aint gonna give you anything. and bulger is terrible. and even the kicker is terrible. their QB might not even get them into field goal position.
