^^^ I can understand that. I honestly would be fine with moving Sean but I can't see the Nets doing it until the deadline. Nets will work this season, see which big men stick then make a move unless something sooner knocks them off our feet. But if we could give Sean + filler (either Ager/stro/hassell/GSW's 1st rounder) for 2 of the following (McCants/Brewer/Smith/Carney), I love life. i can't see Minny doing that though.

I could see Smith or Carney moved quite easily, and McCants for the right price. In fact, I was very happy to see them bring back Craig Smith at $2.5 mil. He's a very good player, with a good attitude at a good price -- he just isn't a fit next to Al and Kevin Love. I think he is a trade chip. Carney we got as gravy, trading cap space for a protected first rounder. I think MIN will give him a chance, but he's probably eighth or ninth man on the depth charts right now, so I could see them parting with him. McCants can score from anywhere, and he's got a terrific work ethic. However, he made some dumb mistakes that caused him to bump heads with the coach. Personally, we've never seen what McCants can do if he starts a season healthy, and I hope he starts the season getting plenty of minutes, building on his 15 PPG off the bench last year. However, I think the Wolves stick with Corey Brewer stick to see if he can make good on his defensive potential. They invested lottery picks in McCants and Brewer, but since Brewer was so recent, it'd make the front office look bad to get rid of him so soon. And we all know front offices hate to look bad.

Anyway would you guys give up Love?

I know that sounds like a dumb question, but maybe a VC and Boone or Anderson or SWAT for Love, Mike Miller and filler?

I don't know if I like that trade from either side, just curious as to where Minny fans stand on Love and Miller at this early juncture in their respective Minny careers?

I see no way that Kevin McHale would give up Love. Ten guys on the roster have 0-4 years NBA experience, and Booth, Cardinal, and Madsen probably aren't getting off the bench, so I doubt there is any interest in Vince Carter. I think with all the games the Wolves will lose for the next two years, there's too much chance he goes Raptor on us.

However, I may be wrong. McHale made more changes in the last year than maybe any team, and he said maybe he got the Wolves a little too young. Many posters have expressed interest in Mike Miller, but McHale feels he can provide a veteran presence and at 28, he will still connect with the team. his generalist game and ability to play sixth man gives the Wolves great flexibility, since they don't know which of their many young players will pan out, and need minutes. His shooting unclogs the lane for Al. Finally, Miller grew up in South Dakota, where trips to Minneapolis to watch the Vikings, Twins or Timberwolves were like going to Oz. I never saw a press conference with a guy happier to be a Timberwolf. I think its unlikely he'll be traded, and I suspect the Wolves would only would offer youth, picks, or cap space in trade for Sean Williams.

I'd do VC/Sean for Miller/Love every day of the week, and twice on Sundays.
