Western Guards All Star Team Predictions

A friend and myself were discussing this earlier. The western conference is more stacked with guards than it has ever been. Give a typical all star team only has 5 guards who do you think will get picked.

Iverson, Nash, and Kidd are all hall of famers who normally get into the game simply because of their name. It is really hard to image an all star game that doesn't feature any of these guys.

Kobe and Tmac are probably the most popular players and are most likely to get in through voting.

Baron seems to be the yearly snub and will probably get snubbed again.

There is also a ton of young guys who should all be playing. Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Brandon Roy and a few others I forgot to mention.

So the question is who makes the roster and who gets snubbed.

Iverson
Nash

Iverson snubbed because Denver will not be in the playoffs at that point.

paul and kobe, tracy mcgrady will have a better season than kobe bryant but people will not vote him.

I don't think the "normal" guys will necessarily get voted in. I'd predict the starting back court will be Paul and Kobe. Then I think Deron has to get the nod, and I don't see Kidd getting it, at least not unless he really earns it. T-Mac has a good shot though. So for me, that leaves the last spot between Martin, Nash, Roy, Baron, Parker, Ginobili, and Kidd if he earns it. Also maybe Durant if he improves and I would have mentioned Monta, but I'm assuming his injury will keep him from being a serious candidate.

Regardless, there's going to be a butt load of competition.

Kobe will get voted in.
I think this year McGrady will get voted in over Iverson. Last year McGrady lost by about 10,000 votes.
Chris Paul is an automatic for coaches decision.

Nash, D Williams, Roy, Ginobili, B Davis, Parker, Iverson, Kidd will all be running for the 4th and 5th spot.

I have a gut fealing that it will end up being Roy and Williams that the coaches end up voting in for those 2 spots though.
