Grizzlies looking to trade?

Post#1 » by Blind0188 » Wed Aug 27, 2008 11:54 am

The Grizzlies are reportedly looking to make a move of some kind after missing out on free agent forward Josh Smith earlier this offseason, according to Memphis Edge.

They reportedly have had trade discussions with the Knicks involving Zach Randolph, and the talks still ongoing.

Memphis is willing to part with Darko Milicic in a package that wouldn't include either Rudy Gay, Mike Conley, or O.J. Mayo.

The Blazers are also looking for a point guard, and could offer Travis Outlaw in a deal with the Grizzlies.

Didn't the press release explicitly say that they would NOT include Gay, Mayo or Conley. So why propose a trade that includes Mayo.

I don't think we have anything that the Griz want to get Darko. Though I would not mind getting him I don't know what we could give up. And Howard is not an option unless we would be getting Gay (hehehe).

Bingo. Why would they trade away Mayo, who has questionably the highest ceiling of anyone in this years draft?

Darko Milicic is the most overrated player in the NBA... I have no idea why these trade proposals invlving him keep coming up. No to any trade with Memphis that doesnt involve their draft picks, Gay, Mayo, or Conley.

thats bull.
I dont wanna see any other trade proposal involving larry freakin hughes. not only that the guy is a bad player who never realized his potential, he is also equipped with a heck of a bad contract

I don't want to see any trade proposals for Larry Hughes until Jan 2010 and only if we are sucking.
I don't want to see any Dampier - Darko trades as long as we are trying to comepete. And I don't want to see any Nocioni trades as long as we have Dirk as the PF; I'd rather have Stack's & Jones' shorter contracts.

I wouldn't trade Mayo for anything unspectacular if I'm Memphis.

OK, who actually believes that those words are the actual translation? Looks like a joke to me.

Had that been a Maverick, I have no doubt that a foul would have been called.

If a trade were to happen between the teams my guess is that Brandon Bass is the player the Grizzles would be looking at.
