After only a day, other people are coming around to the logo

but apparently not this board...

Other boards people are finally coming to their senses and realizing, ok, that's no worse than any other logo, the colors and merchandise are kind of cool, etc.

I'm sure if you guys would just be a little open minded, you would start to realize that our new logo and colors are fine. Or even if you still didn't agree with that, you could realize that the most important thing is the fact that OKC has a team of its own finally.

At the moment though it seems as if everyone is waaayy too stubborn and wallowing in their own self pity to be open minded about anything.

I'm getting more used to it depending on the background. The logo on the solid light blue shirt looks great.

My only issues are the letters that say "Thunder" seem way too tall. And I don't see the need for 2 shades of blue, the light blue by itself would be just fine without the dark blue.

The jersey fonts seem awesome though.

I agree, the logo actually works very well with those blue shirts/jerseys. It's nothing mind blowing on it's on, but if used in a correct way with the uniforms it might look pretty nice. The logo isn't actually the most important thing, it's how the jersey's look.

It's absolutely terrible. I'm sorry, it's just terrible. I don't care if other NBA logos are also bad, it's no excuse.

Bennett announced the team’s uniform design is being finalized and will be revealed in late
September as players arrive for training camp. Additional graphic designs are also underway.“The wordmark and shield, although a proud historic landmark for the team, should be viewed as an initial primary logo as we work towards additional graphic development of our team identity,”

Fans have been hating team logo's since they started using them, all the OKC haters are never going to say anything good about us, and the others don't even care. So get it out of your system, if you can, and lets move on.

I'll say it again, what a bunch of thinskinned people. If the majority don't like it what do you really care and why do you feel the need to complain about others opinions? I don't agree with something you say and you don't agree with how I see things. So what?

The world is full of ugly sports logos and uniforms, yet as Presti says it's about the player wearing the uniform, and that's what really counts.

Not openminded, stubborn, wallowing in their own self pity, OKC haters will never say anything good about us? Man you guys are way over the top on your sensitivity. Can't you figure it out that the people that just don't care for the logo are simply voicing their opinions? Why do you view everything as an attack on you?

I was underwhelmed at first but then I looked at the logos of everyone else and realized that their all the same, the name, geometric shape, and a basketball. Check, check, and check. Let's get to the uniforms and then judge.

It's pretty much unanimous... this logo isn't all that great. People in OKC don't like it, people outside of OKC don't like it, OKC "haters" don't like it, OKC lovers don't like it. That said... another prevailing opinion I've heard (and agree with) is that for the most part, a lot of the other logos/names/colors aren't all that spectacular either. That said, I think that everyone in OKC can agree with your point of just being excited about a team. It's not like we're hearing a lot of "I'm not going to any games because of this", but we are hearing a lot of "I'm not buying this merchandise" because of it... because it looks dumb.

I'm not anti-OKC by any means, but come on you have to admit the logo is awful. I guess I'm just anti-Thunder. What an awful name. I was really pushing for Barons.

umm actually this is not among the best, bobcats logo imo is worse than this

From being in OKC, I don't get the belief that there's more than 1% of people that are being homers or even saying that the logo is even decent.

I'm so glad the team is not called Barons. That's the most (Please Use More Appropriate Word) name ever.
I guess you have to be kind of old-school to really appreciate the Thunder logo. Because, it's actually pretty decent. IT could have been worse and they could have gone all fancy on it and overdone it. But they kept it clean and simple. I guess only certain kinds of people can appreciate that.

I agree you have to be 'old-school' to appreciate the logo, that is if you define 'old-school' as blatantly generic and unimaginative.

McG, seriously, just shut up and take it like a man. No one cares how much you think the logo sucks. People are just trying to make other people realize it's not that bad and get them behind the team and purchasing merchandise and stuff. You all (those who hate the logo) are the ones freaking out, everyone else is just tossing out feeble attempts to get you to appreciate the fact that OKC has a team.

If you want to support the team, then for God's sake quit whining about petty stuff and start supporting them. If you don't want to support the team, leave the board and go somewhere else.

The fact is that Bennett had a chance to make this team something unique, something that defines a city, and all he left us with was just another generic piece of crap. I mean, every NBA fan will have to look at this thing for the next 10 years or so and I guarantee you that they will either automatically hate it or not remember it the next day. Forget Thunder, let's change the team name to the OKC Blah.
