IF Darko's healthy and can stay healthy all season, I expect good things out of him - as the starter at the 5 as well as seeing some minutes at the 4.

Suns fan here. Posting here because I'm really excited about seeing the Gay-Conley-Mayo Trio. Please correct me if I'm wrong about anything since I don't know the Grizzlies as well as most of you do.

About Haddadi, I watched him a little bit in the Olympics but don't know anything else about him. He's has talent and the physical gifts, but I think he's going to have problems with conditioning in the NBA. Lucky you guys are deep in the C spot. Same with Gasol, I think he's going to have problems playing upwards of 30min a game. Not that excited about Haddadi, but Gasol on the other hand is so raw and has the physique to be a very solid center in the NBA.

With the Darko/Z-Bo trade rumor flying around, it could give your team a solid guy at the 4 spot. But that would mean you have to give away Darko, which seems like a bad trade considering the talent difference between the two, however trading Darko would mean you guys will only have Haddadi and Gasol to hold down the 5. Being a Suns fan and seeing Nash being backed up by two rooks makes me nervous, but for the Grizzlies to have two rooks holding down the fort in the center position may be bad for you guys. But one could argue, no offense, that you guy's aren't in contention anyway. But if this is the case, I would rather keep Darko and spend big $$$ getting an FA in the next off season or try your luck in 2010. Z-Bo has been called a cancer by a lot of people despite his productivity, which is why i think having Z-Bo with your team could mess up the nice young trio you have in your back court.

Other than that, Haddadi is a nice pick up considering you guys would only have Gasol and Darko at the 5 if you guys didn't sign him. And as I said before, if i have said anything wrong, feel free to correct me.

Goodluck to you guys this coming season, I expect big things from Mayo, Conley and Gay. :)

Sorry to dredge this up, but I have a question: was Haddadi signed for just this season, or was it a multi-year contract? If so, how long?

Thanks!
