Darko may be on the move again

Post#1 » by jamlando » Sat Sep 6, 2008 3:46 am

Talks of a deal between the Knicks and Grizzles that would send Zach Randolph to Memphis in exchange for Marko Jaric and Darko Milicic are more than just rumors, according to ESPN.com.

New York President Donnie Walsh, who reportedly initiated the talks, will be the deciding factor.

Walsh appears to now be hesitant to deal Randolph, but the ball is in his court.

The deal would help the Knicks lower their salary cap number in the near future, perhaps to get into the running for LeBron James.

This deal will get done soon, IMO.

I'm sure Darko, with his sparkling personalty, amazing wit, exceptional charm, and dedication to doing whatever it takes to succeed at the game, will thrive under the spotlight that is New York media!

If this trade gois down, it will be the biggest crash and burn since the Hindenburg.

If Darko couldn't handle the pressure in other cities, how the hell is he going to handle the NY spotlight? Lol Darko will be hated by New Yorkers by the 2nd month of the season if this deal happens. This could be funny lol.

This trade has the potential for being a huge LOL for both sides so i hope it goes thru lol. Why would a young inexperienced team want Zach as their leader is beyond me. And another team still believes in Darko's potential. NY fans have a tendency to get overly excited over anything so they are bound to be very dissapointed.

If and that's a big if Darko applies himself and works hard he could excel under Mike D'antoni's system....

...Oh who the hell am I kidding this is Darko we're talking about, unfulfilled potential incarnate. He'll always find an excuse for his failure.

I don't think it's that NYK belives in Darko's potential; this is just addition by subtraction for them.

His agent is already trying to make nice with the trade looming. If Darko plays the same way he did in Memphis & here, they will absolutely have no mercy on him. He doesn't know what he's getting into.

Agreed. The pairing of Curry and Randolph was stupid to begin with.

Junk for junk is all. All it does is distract the Griz from dealing with us with regard to Crittenton. With Jaric getting moved, they aren't as concerned with having so many pg's and combo guards. Hopefully it falls through, and maybe allows us to get back in some talks with them. Not likely, but this trade is still a joke for both sides.

A team as bad as the Grizzlies has lost faith in Darko so quickly? Hmmm....
