I feel you, can't wait for tomorrow either. I hope we go into the game prepared and don't take Miami too lightly because of their terrible season last year. We still have to prove ourselves after just 4 wins last season and that's how we should approach every game.

It's gonna be really interesting to see how our new lines play. To me our entire defense stands and falls with Kris Jenkins. If he stays healthy and provides the disruptive force inside the trenches, then the Jets have the potential to have a really special and dominating defense. As Kerry Rhodes said: "They want to be a defense teams have to fear on Sundays".

(Sorry treiz, edited your title to give an official game thread a bigger look, hope it's no problem)

J-E-T-S!!! JETS JETS JETS!!!

I'm really interested to see how Gholston looks in his first regular season game. Let's see how much they even play him...

Beautiful pass by Favre to Cotchery...it's been a long time since we had a qb who could make those throws.

A lot of sloppy play and the fact that we don't have a backup kicker is just pure comedy. I just can't laugh about it...

Jenkins in the middle is looking outstanding, Lowery on the outside too. Favre alone makes our offense dangerous and we have shown signs of a punishing run game so far too.

Barton is playing awful, so is Coleman. Miami starts to gain a lot of yards as soon as Pouha enters the game which is a big problem...

I thought that the offense actually did a good job for the most part, just a few hiccups in week one that we can fix. However If I hear another procedure penalty im going to freak out. Our defense for the most part looked good, Lowery did a stellar job. Revis was a shadow and Harris was everywhere it seemed. With the injury to Brady, this year will be very interesting.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

How I look at this first game of the season is..., what we need to fix or see more of. Favre spread the ball well early but.., I need to see more TE play. TEs have always been our non factor but with Baker and our rookie out there, who suppose to be a top athlete., I'm expecting them to step up big under Favre. I'm happy with our offense now even with Favre not knowing the playbook 100% yet but we still have a lot of room for improvement. I wasn't happy we chose to run on our final play on offense just for a measly 5 yards that could've put the game away for us before Miami got the ball back. Yes we didn't want to take the chance of an incomplete pass that will stop the clock but once we was penalized the clocked stop and we had five extra yards to gain.., we could've then took a chance. We need that killer instinct....., it pays the bigger dividends in the long run.

Thomas Jones was good but if he's going to be an every down back.., I have to see some more facets to his abilities for me to be happy. He can go up the middle but., what about his cuts, jukes and recieving abilities. We have Favre now and just for short term.., I want to milk him for everything especially now since Brady might be out for the season (preferbly., I'd like Brady to still be playing and beat them). Now that he's out.., this is almost a must win for us. We can't lose to Cassel or which ever chump they put in his place. New England had our number with Pennington so, with Favre., we need to give them so many different looks that they can't just sit back and let us burn ourselves.

Good 1st game though.., I'm happy.

nice win, we need to sure up our kicking situation, that was a joke... we seem to be better vs the run and our corners have the potential to be special, especially with revis on one side... Our running game was effective and Thomas jones looks like the runner we traded for...

Brett reminds me, what its like to have a QB that can make every throw there is to make, especially the deep ball.. I like chad, but that pass to cotchery would have stayed up there all day...

Barton frustrates me, his stupid late and flagrant hits on QB's is costly, even going back some years to the playoff game vs the chargers, he almost cost us then...

Yea.., the kicker situation. What in the world was going on there??? No professional team should be that unprepared. It was like our management slept for a month after acquiring their prize QB.

Well, everybody ready for the pain? This has all the signs of another exclamation point for another disappointing (to say the least) season for the J E T S. Woody Johnson is "no comment"-ing on the future of Mangini; the team has been playing like shyt; Farve went public with his "injured shoulder" and is already talking about retirement (again . . . this time, I hope he stays retired). I'm predicting Chad throws for about 300 yards this afternoon.

Time to clean out the coaching staff. Get ready to say farewell to the Man-genious. This is pathetic.

Well, at least we'll not be giving up ether a #1 or #2 for Favre.

What a collapse.
