Ted Ginn and his family are worthless pieces of crap.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Just not enough offensively

The defense is improved from last year, not good enough yet though

Bright spots:
Ronnie Brown
Fasano/Martin
Kendall Langford

If im the dolphins, im playing like 80 percent of my snaps with a single back 2 TE sets, and mix up pass/rush/ play action from there

Not as bad as I thought. We've shown improvement from last season, that's for sure. -- But, we've still got a lot of work to do.

That game was there for us for 3 quarters, but then with that prayer that favre threw up and was caught, it was all over from there, in a way.

On to next week, I guess.....

I kind of am not feeling the Ricky/Ronnie thing -- both guys heat up with the more action they get, the way they were used today wasn't correct, IMO -- neither got going.

Same here, Lane. -- I felt we didn't go with 1 longer than the other.

We need to use Ricky or Ronnie as our main back, and then bring in the other to give the other a blow.

We couldn't establish any rhythm in todays offense.

It was pretty evident from today's game that Ronnie Brown is still the best player on the team, so Sparano needs to check himself before he wrecks himself and go ahead and start Ronnie Brown as soon as possible. At least twenty carries a game for Brown.

Who starts at receiver next week? I say Camarillo and Bess. If Sparano doesn't, I'm calling for him to be fired. I demanded Cameron be fired after the first game last season, so this isn't unprecedented.

Some of my notes I would like to share about this game:

1 - Although I saw some encouraging signs with the rookies who with the proper experience should grow to a next level, this is a bottom of the league team still. I guess there is room for improvement thanks to the young players but we are WAYS from being anything close to a playoff contender.

2 - Jets are a better team than the Dolphins. The Jets are NOT that much better than the Dolphins at this time. Maybe they will get better with their new additions over the season but they are not THAT scary team everyone seems to think they are.

3 - Why in world would you stop Ted Ginn from doing what he does best? I don't give a crap that he is our #1 WR (he got it by default by the way), the kid does his best work returning punts and kickoffs. PUZZLES me why Bess (who was ok) was returning when we needed a BIG play. Can you imagine how the game would've turned with one big return by Ginn and/or his family? Shame on Sparano.

4 - Patrick Cobbs. We all love the underdog story and Patrick Cobbs is one of them but Sparano needs to go watch Rudy and understand that to WIN, you let your best players play and your "good story" players help you prepare your best players, then when you are winning, you give them their field time for the happy ending. NEWS notes to Sparano: " Dolphins are a bad team that lacks play-makers. Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown ARE play-makers. Probably one of the best in the league as a combination. Why seat them on 3rd down? "RUDY"!!!

5 - Like Lane, I don't feel the RB-by-committee thing. Give the ball to the hot hand and play the other player in situational (3rd down) plays. The one time that combo worked was during the Saban-era and he ran Ronnie from the beginning and used Ricky as the change of pace. By the 4Th quarter teams were too tired to deal with those two. By the way, that was our last winning season (9-7)

6 - So we pay $6 millions in guaranteed money to a 6'4 225lbs receiver to overpower DB's in the end zone or to go after the jump ball and come down with it, then we make him inactive? Isn't it ironic that we lost the game with our 5'10 kick returner who didn't get the chance to return any kicks getting beat on such play? Alanis Morissette should add that line to her song.

7 - Liked our DL, hated our LB and our secondary is what it is; average at best. Thanks to our DL, we made this somewhat of a game but our LB are not the solution for the future if you ask me. I am tired of Crowder's lack of vision when going after a play. Maybe I got spoiled with Zach Thomas always being around every ball. Joey Porter can still go after the QB but he is a liability at any of his other functions as full time LB. Math Roth has a nice engine but IMO is a bit mechanical. As for our secondary, thanks to Bell who is all over the field, I rate them "average" but the rest of our secondary? It is a prayer with them to not get beat. Will Allen looks ok at times but IMO that has more to do with how bad our other CB are than how good he is.

8 - Coach Sparano looked like a rookie coach (expected) with some of his decisions (read above). I think he deserves a pass to work and get better at it (not like Cam Cameron who got more ignorant by the week.....Fail Forward Fast?). He got out-coached and was not able to adjust his game plan to give our offense a chance.

9 - Our TE's showed up. Now let's not make much of it since it was obviously the Jets game plan to take away the sidelines and the run and let the Dolphins beat them on the middle of the field, but it was refreshing to see the TE getting some action.

10 - Don't get caught too much into the Dolphins keeping the game close. I believe this game says more about the Jets not being as good as advertised than the Dolphins increased improvement. Yes we see a light of hope but in reality this is going to take a couple of more seasons to turn around. We improved our OL and DL obviously and our RB are better than solid but this team needs talent everywhere else. Pennington is limited at QB so let's hope Henne is ready to play when Chad gets his yearly injury list visit, our WR's corp is horrible. Presently Ginn is a 3rd receiver at best in a championship roster, Bess is the bright spot that needs to develop but all other receivers are just average. Our LB's lack play-making ability and our secondary is just not good enough to compete for a whole game. Even our kicker and punter need to get better. Bottom line is that this is an "improved by talent" 1-15 team who might squeeze 4 or 5 wins this season. Compared to the rest of the league, the talent deficit is obvious.

I HATE roth as an OLB.

I remember one play we had one WR on the field, and it was the undrafted FA Bess, that speaks of our reciever situation.

I'm Sparano hasn't sold me yet, i don't like how hes using some of his players (running back situation, jason allen, return situation)

Great game. The only thing was that there were no fights. The crowd was 70/30 Dolphins. Sparano needs to run the ball more, come on 3rd and 2 and you throw twice. Also, Wilford needs to be playing, come on camerillo? Are you joking? Overall, good game. Anyone else go to the games, i was seating in suite #308 but most of the time i have other seats.
