Fisher = Rafer
Kobe > McGrady
Lamar < Artest
Gasol >>> Scola
Bynum < Yao

Mihm/Mbenga < Mutumbo
Radman < Landry/Hayes/Dorsey
Walton/Ariza < Battier
Sasha > Barry/Head
Farmar > Brooks/Francis (If he's still like he was last season)

They're pretty much a dead heat on paper. Lakers have more chemistry, and are less injury prone so I'm inclined to go with them.

They look pretty even to me, considering them all healthy.

i think the rockets have more established players...

mutombo and francis had "made it" in the nba at some point in their careers and i think francis still can do well. he just doesnt get the PT now.

only thing the lakers have over rockets is pau gasol, but luis scola isnt a rug to walk on either.

gota give it to the rockets

I'd say the Lakers by a little bit. The positions that are most important like the SG, PF, C are pretty stacked.

Noticing how real you were with the Gasol-Scola rating... I had to correct your Yao-Bynum one.

Neither team has a solid history of health

But talent-wise, it's the Lake Show

Bynum is going to close that gap between him and Yao next year. Just wait...

Having Gasol around will open up the floor more for Bynum, and vice verca... Same thing that happened to Amare when Shaq joined the Suns. Teams aren't going to be able to double on Bynum anymore because they can't leave Gasol wide open. The game will open up for him and be much easier for him to score.

Please, throw deron in another offensive system and he's an average pg at best. He should thank Sloan for the assists he gets. It's a real disservice to Chris Paul when Utah fans try to group them together as if they were anywhere close talent-wise.

Yeah, probably, his 35pt, 19 reb, 99% FG shooting is going to be a blast to watch! seriously can't wait!

So...if they take Deron out of Utah, and replace him with Jameer Nelson, Nelson duplicates Deron's averages?

Don't think so

Deron takes advantage of his body and strength, for PG, he is above average in terms of muscle mass. He uses his size and quickness to get past his defender, he knows how to use his mid range game, and a one on one game, he knows how to isolate the opposing defender and score on them pretty well. If you see Sloan's offensive scheme, he takes advantage of Deron's strengths using the isolation or pick and roll many times. He is also big enough to post up the average point guard, which he does on many occasions. He is also pretty good at getting to the basket, he knows how to attack the hole very well, and its been shown as he splits apart defenses, does a great job of passing out of the double, or kicking it out to the open man his assist to turnover ratio is I'd say excellent for a player of his caliber that puts up 10 assist, there is a gap between Deron and Paul, but that's due to the team impact Paul has creating his offense and supporting cast, compared to Deron who plays within his supporting cast. Trust me, he isn't your average point guard, we've lost to him 2 years in a row, and as much as it hurts me to defend him, he is pretty good.
