BTW, McGinn is not bitter about the Favre situation. McGinn has wanted Favre out for the last two years and wrote some pointed columns here the last two months about how the Packers needed to get rid of Favre and take one step backward to take two steps ahead. McGinn is a TT guy through and through the last two years. But right now he's calling it as he sees it. Both lines are not in good shape right now. I agree with him. I think the strongest part of the team is the passing game with Rodgers and those receivers.

I could very easily see the Packers win 6 or 7 games this year simply because their o-line is so mediocre. Wells is good but often injured, Spitz has picked his game up, Tauscher and Clifton are good on the pass but average on the run, and Colledge and Moll as your guards, come on. This to go along with a QB who hasn't started a NFL game yet and a running back who hasn't been hit all preseason. Pickett has been out for awhile and probably isn't in game shape, Jolly is inconsistent, KGB is a question mark, Harrell is gonna be out, Jenkins also has been inconsistent. There's just too many question marks on both lines to think we are gonna be this dominant team if Minnesota stays healthy.

Pickett said after spending the entire off-season here for the first time, he's in the best shape of his stint with the Packers.

Woodson said that too, and it's not that I don't believe him, but speaking as a former athlete I know there's a huge difference between practice conditioning and game conditioning. Pickett can say he's in great shape all he wants, but he hasn't played a down all preseason so who knows how much wind he'll have for the first game.
