Will Artis Gilmore make into the HOF?

Post#1 » by TMU » Mon Sep 8, 2008 7:58 pm

There's no doubt that he deserves to be in the HOF. The guy was a former MVP and a final MVP. He has all the credentials to make into the HOF. However, he has not received a single vote for the past few years.

Do you think he'll make it eventually?

It is pathetic that Dickie V is in and he isn't. The HOF is biased vs players who have played in the ABA.

If he hasnt made it by now he most likely never will. With several all time greats nearing elgibility its going to get much more difficult for next few yrs. IMHO he and DJ should be in as well as King. Of course its going to get harder and harder to get these guys in as time goes by. The only way they get in IMHO is if the voters that oppose them die or retire.

Is he the only MVP not to be in the hall of fame, that is eligibale?

I think he deserves it. His FG % is really high.

Maybe if the Bulls retire Gilmore's #53 then maybe he can get into the hall of fame.
Cliff Hagan to Bob Pettit and Scottie Pippen to Michael Jordan are my favorite duos in NBA history.
