Post#1 » by cwas2882 » Mon Sep 8, 2008 1:39 am

A thread to air out your week 1 starting mistakes. I'll start.

Started Palmer (6pts) over Mcnabb (43 pts)

Started Galloway (2 pts) over Ward (19pts).

D;oh.

Thanks god I have Turner. I'll prob still win this week

oh god. I'm gonna have to do damage control if Brady really is gone for the season. At least I bought into the hype and drafted Chris Johnson.

Carson Palmer over Matt Ryan....Yeah that's right. Carson Palmer over matty ice.

Not that big a deal though, because I still will likely win.

i had to decide between mcnabb, hasselbeck and carson, thankfully mcnabb had by far the easiest matchup so i chose him

i had a great week, the thing that sucks about hasselbeck and carson sucking is it hurts there trade value

Aside from the Brady injury, not many regrets this week. Maybe for downgrading Michael Turner but, otherwise, right on target with all my other suggestions.

Ronnie Brown over Hines Ward for the WR/RB slot.

Brown gave me 4 pts whereas Hines Ward would have netted me 16.

Still have hope for Ronnie Brown though... :(

No regrets, yet. It all depends on how Aaron Rogers performs tonight.

Lost, but no regrets. Brady killed me, Holmes and Housh didn't perform to expectations, but I wouldn't have done anything differently. Still happy with how I drafted. Dropped Brady for Cassell today.

Bulger over Delhomme... I'm still hoping Bulger can bounce back and have a good year but St. Louis got crushed this week

What was a no-brainer?? Every rankings I looked at had them both having a bad week 1 but Bulger was always ranked ahead. Delhomme had no receivers to throw to and were suppose to be featuring a power running attack. I will probbaly go with Delhomme once Smith gets back but am thinking about starting Bulger again in week 2.

Luckily, I was messing around with my lineups and didn't fix them before the games started. Braylon Edwards and Steven Jackson were on the bench in favor of Matt Forte and Lee Evans.

Torry Holt sucked, but so did my bench receivers. So no real regrets there.

In my other league, Palmer over Pennington, and Campbell over Forte in the flex. Also, not liking Seattle DST getting me 1 point. I did win though, thanks to Turner and Gore.

Ronnie Brown over Burleson in my FLEX.

Bulger over Schaub........both had terrible matchups, but I was starting Philly's defense so it really made zero sense to start Bulger......Bulger put up 10 and change, Schaub 23 and change.

Didn't pick up Royal in time.

Holmes and Houshman did their best Redman impression and put up Bricks.

Bah!

Despite the fact that I scored the third most points in my 12 team league, I lost. Just happened to face McNabb and Parker in the same week. Awesome. Really Willie Parker? Scoring more touchdowns in week one than you did all last season? BS.

My only mistake was playing Fred Taylor. I was torn hardcore by the decision between him, Chris Johnson, and Chris Perry. I just didn't know how many carries Perry and Johnson were going to get so I went with Taylor who I knew would get carries despite the fact that he's been dominated by the Titans defense over the past two seasons. Hopefully Johnson keeps getting his reps, my running back situation should look a lot better real fast. Minnesota's defense didn't help me, but it didn't hurt me. I'm not going to worry about it much.

Brees
Peterson
Taylor
Fitzgerald
R. Williams
Winslow
MIN
Gould

That's what I went with.

Not playing Parker over Roddy White. I really just didn't have much faith in Parker at all in a PPR league. Doh.

My other goofs was drafting Welker and TJ over Johnson in my keeper league. Looking back on that I can't believe i did that.
