So today we could trade Nesterovic?

Just so I understand correctly. Starting today we can include Nesterovic in any of our trade packages involving Tinsley? Sure hope this happens.

We could include any of the players we acquired on July 9th in packages with any of our other players.

However, it's extremely unlikely that this will occur, particularly given the size of Rasho's contract.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

I know this is completely unrelated to the original topic, but I was messing around on basketballmonster.com and found that ranked by per minute statistics. Stephen Graham ranked 13th in the league. Although I understand that these rankings are skewed due to lack of minutes, I still think its useful to identify guys with a lot of potential.

just a gee whiz fact for ya.

I think Rasho is here to stay. I think he's going to be a teacher to Roy Hibbert and i believe if we do struggle more then we expect and are headed towards a no playoff season, i think we'll see Jeff Foster dealt to a western conference team who wants to add defense and a rebounder for the playoffs. I remember last year Chad Ford from ESPN said Foster could land Indy a mid-late first round pick.

i think it's a definite possibility that we include nesterovic and his expiring contract as the enticement for a team to take a shot on tinsley.

also, i think trading foster for a draft pick would be a huge mistake. jeff is a universal rotation big - he is valued by every team in the league, but that includes the pacers.

why? he's part of our cap space next off season, part of why we are risking having to match a high level offer for Danny next summer.

Capspace = free agents...imagine if we wait until next year we could sign a big man, go after someone elses RFA then resign danny under league rules over the cap and be all the better...

If a team only wants jamal with rasho chances are we get alot of bad salary back for that...I mean I can't think of a 10m+ big man we could traid for 2 to 1...

Jamal has value, some, other teams have things we want...like young bigs... I think if we wait until camp, when other teams report without point guards(heat and warriors); the trade deadline when teams need a big who boards and will be off their cap the next season(jazz could use a big that isn't soft like boozer)

I just think waiting is a better option, not the only option, even if we have to cut mcbob I think we might resign him if byrd likes him, I doubt anyone claims him off waivers. Also not tragically even if someone picked him up we'd be paying what 400k a year for 2 years? Tinsley stays on the 15 man roster until we can move him, rasho adds depth and helps us clear cap next summer.

I am campaigning for Harrington back for Tinsley, thankyou monta ellis.

free agents are over-rated. especially when we've got our own guys we need to sign (granger and foster at least). still, cap space and fiscal responsibility are good things. don't rule out the possibility of utilizing a combination of our expiring contracts to move tinsley and bring back an even bigger expiring contract (or at least one that expires a year sooner than tinsley's).
